Joe Kurtenbach is a professional writer and editor in the firearms and outdoor industry. Having cut his teeth at American Rifleman, he is now the Executive Editor of Guns & Ammo and Editor of The Armory Life magazine. A U.S. Army veteran, Kurtenbach served as a Cavalry Scout and Psychological Operations Specialist, jumped out of perfectly good airplanes, and held firearm-centric roles such as armorer, marksmanship instructor, and small arms SME — experiences that inform his work today.
