
Kevin McPherson served as a police officer in New Mexico from 1988-2011, retiring as a sergeant with the New Mexico State Police. During his tenure he worked patrol, narcotics enforcement and for thirteen years was the lead firearms instructor/armorer for the NMSP. He was a member of the NMSP Tactical Team for 10 years and led the agencies’ pistol team after bringing it back in 2009. He has been a firearms instructor since 1994 and writes about guns when he can’t be in the woods.
