Well, without us, Ukraine and EU is screwed. Time for them to step up for their own defense .

To me it seems there is no leverage Ukraine holds ver the White House now that Biden is gone. No worry about Hunters SIrT getting release if you don’t oh now!!!

It also seems like Ukraine was not even wanting a cease fire as an interim so not sure what he expected. And pointing himself as a custom didn’t help as he is not.

Below is a guy that probably smarter than most of us here addressing it. Well worth the 8 minutes to listen to!

i agree with some
most importantly
this meeting should have never been out in open until both parties were on the same sheet of opera music

to many variables to let the cats herd themselves.
however, we as the country that has been kicking in billions with means to an end... HAS TO STOP. or get assurances we get some sort of pay back,
along with a REAL plan to end the fighting.
Z man wants US troops...NOPE NADA little man. thats the only reason he even considered doing the minerals deal..
we have rare earth minerals HERE...why are we buying it abroad?? again DUMB US policy .

we as a country screwed ukraine waaaaay back during clinton and then bush
promises of glory if they left the USSR and maintained to be their own country as it was
then we did what we always do; we let corrupt people set policy and then turn a blind eye

last time was deployed ( part of NATO) there we spent mucho dinero helping their navy get up to a level of somewhat OK.
the people on the street were fantastic, their leaders SUCKED pickled eggs

in my lifetime US foreign policy is been filled with shady bull muffins and very little positive
we need the BIG stick and follow through to promises made, and if we cant keep those promises...STFU and move on.

same thing with Venezuela, back in early 80s we were all about being there for them and moving towards democracy, meanwhile allowing a little dictator to take over, in the name of OIL...of which we have more than most of the world.
 
I for one am quite glad President Trump booted him out of the White House. He was showing disrespect by rolling his eyes and at one point muttered in a low voice a curse word aimed at either one /or both Trump or Vance.

J.D. Vance was right in calling him out about showing support of Harris and hoping to continue getting more funding for his war. Even he has said that he doesn't think Putin will relinquish what Russia has gained. So why not deal. We have given more then our fair share to his country. He is acting like he can win this war but he can't.

Just adding up the handful of Euro Countries on that "pie chart" gives a collective European budget 2X the size of Russia, and there's 14 more Members of NATO not on that chart, not counting Turkey which can't be counted on for anything but their own interests in the Middle East.

Plus, two NATO countries have nukes.

They can't even be bothered to pay for their own self defense. What makes you think they'll put out for Ukraine ?
 
I like transparency, but at what cost? Now days if USA is planning an action against a foe, the plan and timelines are discussed and laid out in national news broadcast by media for a week or to before said action. What's the use?
