Truck Equipment

4x4 with matching tires for the terrain you will most be in , a winch , snatch strap , high lift jack , and at least a 20 foot heavy duty chain. After those it is whatever you need /want to change , such as a lift kit and/or over sized tires .

I have a rolling tonneau, with a tailgate Pop N lock I installed myself. It's the closest I could come to "create" a car truck for my truck. I have a Hornady's Truck safe secured with cable in the bed for long guns. My truck has side steps, window guards to keep out the rain, bug shield and Plow (that it looks like I'll need this Saturday  ). In addition, I've installed a Console Vault Safe (posted to several threads), and a portable safe with cable attached to passenger seat that is stored under the seat for additional property I want to secure.

Two things: First, six miles of cargo straps. No matter how many you have when you are doing something that requires cargo straps you will need one more. So, six miles.
Second: USB thumb drive, jump drive, what ever you want to call it with 2500 of our favorite songs on it. Commercial free back to back tunes.

Ditto on the cargo straps. I carry 3 extra when transporting the kayak in the truck bed, because we know "Murphy" shows-up when least expected. Thumb drive.....good idea, but just being me, I'd probably lose it.

Cargo straps must be like snakes.... no legs so they can't walk off.... have to be slithering away. I know they sure do disappear. Thumb drive stays in the USB Port all the time. Truck starts up my music begins. Great!
I have the play list saved on several hard drives so I can replace easily.

Don't forget fuel!

My dually has an aluminum lockable bed cover that will hold 1,500#s on top of it for atv when needed. Plus a 65 gallon tank under it.

My must haves on my truck are a
tonneau cover, rear wheel well liners, small safe for pistols, first aid kit and a really good sound system.

My cargo straps are kept rolled-up, along with extra bungees, in a one-gallon slide-lok freezer baggie. Any straps/bungees not being used at any particular time are stowed in said slide-lok baggie under the rear seat.
Gotta make sure an 11'6" kayak doesn't slide out of a short truck bed.

Great pic .... thank you for sharing....
I'm not much of a water person... love the air though!

Always have straps and bungees and don't forget the duct tape
That's the truth and always stay fueled up.
I think my issue with the straps is I loan them out to a new home.
Duct tape is a must. Don't even go in to space without a couple rolls

A winch, l.e.d. lights that make it look like a space ship at night, a 3 ton Jack, DC to AC converter, A quad cab to use the backseat to sleep in and to keep supplies dry, a medical kit, a get home bag,
And Springfield's new PDW.

I've about given up on regular old duct tape, and have become a fan of Gorilla tape.
