Back in Oklahoma Again!
I was born and raised in Oklahoma. When I turned 18, I found out my parents were civilians so I ran away from home and joined the Army! //Just a joke, sort of//
I really did join the Army at 18, that part is true. Wanted 3 years in Germany as an MP - got a year in MA for schooling (old Ft. Devens) and 5 years in Alaska! Wound up staying in the Army for 22 years after living all over the U.S., the Netherlands, Germany, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia (for the 90-91 Persian Gulf War).
Spent another 18 years living in MD and working at the National Security Agency (NSA) until I was retired on a disability in 2010 from Gulf War Illness that didn't show itself to some form of diagnosable diseases or illnesses until 2005. It took NSA and OPM about a week to approve my disability and process my medical retirement. My ordeal with the VA took me just over 20 years to get a disability rating.
Now retired and living in Constitutional Carry Oklahoma, just a few miles from where my beloved OU Sooners play their home football (and softball & volleyball & soccer (and more) games, and totally loving it!
