    As a Black Cat flight engineer 68-69 i knew about Chinooks in Alaska and put it on my dream sheet hoping to get orders for there. I got Rucker instead and finished up there.
    Ramp up ready rear, clear to flight.

    Shout out from a Chinook pilot (CH-47A-D) who is forever grateful to the FE’s in the days of the CH-47A, w/fixed aft landing gear. I can only guess that the FE’s were as grateful to Boeing when the -47B came out with aft gear that could be steered, allowing for ground maneuvering, & took the excitement out parking them.
    PS: Ft. Rucker, has a new woke name.
