    Very up and down day

Professionally, I'm babysitting a New York law firm trying to practice in Minnesota and it's been a cluster. Highly unprofessional but they're trying to take care of a railroader under the FELA (there is no workman's compensation for a union railroad worker), so I'm running my butt off sorting...

Hornady Backcountry Defense Review — Bear Defense Ammo

What is the practical difference between these and hard-cast lead aside from availability?

    Colorado in the news

Oh, it wouldn't catch everyone, no question there. But it would most likely prevent the criminal who meets someone on Armslist or something and dupes a well-meaning seller from getting what he's after. You and I will most likely agree that nothing is going to stop two straight-up criminals...

We can hope this becomes the standard at colleges

You don't have to buy it. There is plenty of outrage on the right about each of those things despite them having no tangible effect on their lives. That outrage wouldn't be there if people we're threatened by it somehow.

I've never once said I think its wise to have unfettered access to guns, so this isn't the challenge to me you might think it is. There are people who should not have them or use them. I highly doubt we'll agree on that or have a productive conversation so I'll cut this one short now.

We can hope this becomes the standard at colleges

How many righties would get their undies in a twist if they went into a house that had BLM or trans rights paraphernalia laying about? Or a "Free Palestine" sign and Quran? That's equally spineless. A lot of people are legitimately scared of guns. MANY doctors know are, because their only...

We can hope this becomes the standard at colleges

Man, no. Just no. Lefties aren't a different breed or species. We want most of the same things you do we just have different ideas of how to get there. Try telling me the current administration isn't trying to seize a ton of control. For any overreach by the left there's one on the right...

I agree with you in most respects. The one area of disagreement is private sales. I don't do them myself, but I am of the opinion background checks will prevent criminals from accessing guns. Difference of opinion.

No worries, bud. We can have differing opinions. For me, I walk into a store and I walk out with anything I want except for those pesky federal laws. I'm good with it here.

Hmm... I've never found any of those to be an impediment to anything. Getting a permit takes maybe a week. Transfers require a FFL background check for handguns and "military style" rifles but not others. No background check required for the rest. My understanding of storage is it has to be...

    Colorado in the news

Like what? We can get anything we want except for pistols with a really low melting point and that's a really small list. It's a "shall issue" carry state, no restrictions on mags, ammunition, types of guns we can own, ordering by mail... We aren't Illinois. Even person-to-person transfers...

    Colorado in the news

I tell people I stay in the cities 50 weeks out of the year but I live in the woods. I find good and bad in both. My parents had my up at Scenic when I was two weeks old so it's part of my DNA now, as much as the dance clubs, access to everything, and all that that comes in the cities.

My hope, and this is generalized across the entire country, is all of us being less scared of each other. I had a few ladies in MSP who lost their fear of pistols once the liberal, white collar guy they were dating took them to the range. Just that one little push. Soapbox over.

    Colorado in the news

I get that. I talked to a lot of people up there, and out there, and down there, about that that last couple years. Lots of the people in concentrated areas don't get the rest of the state and vice versa. I've loved walking the roads up by Scenic State Park with a 12-gauge over my shoulder...

I'll note that I'm not at all trying to debate. What I am is genuinely curious.

    Flying brass...

Nicely done! I have a similar experience with my 10mm P220 Legion. I've taken a few off the forehead from that one but never from a .45 or any other 10mm.

To start a good faith and not at all confrontational conversation intended to really get an understanding of the status of our state, what is the issue in Minnesota you're referring to? I'm in the Cities but spend a lot of time up by Rapids and had a significant relationship with a gal up in...

Getting a case against Amazon worked up. Going after them will make me VERY happy.

    my federal judge on Ingraham

As a lawyer licensed in numerous state an federal courts, I would argue that anyone who can be arrested, as illegal immigrants can, are subject to the laws of the United States. The people who are not subject to those laws are the rare exceptions like foreign diplomats or others with immunity...
