Is Bear Spray Better Than a Pistol?

FACT: Interior grizzly seem to be far more aggressive than their ocean coastal range brothers! That's been documented and proven!👍

Is Bear Spray Better Than a Pistol?

Yes. I myself would have to say a .44RM with 300gr hard cast is the absolute minimum cartridge and load one should use as bear defense. Even for black bear. That's just my Opinion though. I cant say it enough. "BRING ENOUGH GUN" Plus, I love saying it!🤷😉

Is Bear Spray Better Than a Pistol?

When in the woods. I always pack a high power rifle that delivers no less than 2000 foot pounds at the muzzle, but we have big bears too! Just saying!

Is Bear Spray Better Than a Pistol?

Imagine if the bear winded you and recognized you as the threat! Now you got a pi**ed off wounded bear that has a few more breaths of air to let you know what he thinks of you! Sounds like you did some good shoot'n though! 👍

Is Bear Spray Better Than a Pistol?

BOTH!!! One can work or **** the bear off just as good as the other. Unless your packing a .500 or.460. or something else in that class? You better keep your composer and be a good shot with something smaller like a .357 or 10mm! Seriously guys! A bear can move so fast it would blow your mind...

Hmmmmm? Well, even if the RDS is on the forward picatinny rail vs where it is now. I think its definitely closer to the eye than an arms length. I think the RDS came with a picatinny rail mounting plate. I still have the factory box it came in . If so, I'll see if it makes a difference mounted...

It looks like the forward picatinny rail is the exact hight as the mount on the striper clip guide. Heck I don't know? 🤷

So the further forward I mount the RDS. The bigger the dot gets? Its a 3moa dot now and I feel its a little to big.

Yes, where it is mounted now.

Its not the dot itself that's the problem. It's the metal frame of the rds Vortex system its self

The mount would obstruct the view through the factory sights and the rds itself would be to high for the cheek riser or cheek piece or colm or... Not sure what you call that part of the stock?
