Yes, I do see possibly why the A2 handguard came into play as the triangular handguard is very smooth, very slippery on damp hands (humidity in the jungles of Vietnam) and the round A2 stock has texture to it, much more grip to it. My take on it.
Well, I went ahead and bought the SA-16A2, very nice rifle. I bought a triangular handgaurd from ar discounts the luth r, fits tight (took 2 of us to get it) but it looks great.
Hello all, I am interested in the new SA16-A2 and was wandering if it will accept a Triangular handguard. The forward handguard cap appears to be a triangular one, and looks as if it would, but no one at my gun stores knows for sure. Anyone?
