Is the SA-35 Suited for Modern CCW? An Undercover Cop’s Perspective

To each their own, I guess. The mindset seems to be at 500 rounds you are shooting a "proven" handgun! But what about round 501? Round 586? Round 731? At a certain point, this entire test become Illogical. GregT.

Is the SA-35 Suited for Modern CCW? An Undercover Cop’s Perspective

I have owned and carried my SA-35 since the beginning of July, right after I purchased it. I have fired reloaded ammo in it very comparable to defensive ammo currently available. have found NO failures in roughly 250 rounds! This included my "Bear Incident" ( that I published here) when I met a...

    CCW Steel: Carrying the SA-35

Update, Tuesday evening: No appearance of the Bear last night. I found three of my fired cases in the gravel near the garage service door. Dogs are sleeping. GregT

    CCW Steel: Carrying the SA-35

More mundane stuff... I want to thank the folks at Springfield Armory, Inc. for making the new SA-35 as reliable as mine was tonight at 11:00 PM when I interrupted the work of a 400 pound Black Bear on my front deck. CCW Steel: Carrying the SA-35

I would shoot it a bit and then quit worrying about it. What about bad ammo that might be out there and could cause a perfectly good semi-auto handgun to malfunction? Perhaps you might go to revolver use, but again, what about the possibility of a bad round of ammo? Are you "limp-wristing" the...

    CCW Steel: Carrying the SA-35

I have had the Springfield Armory Hi-Power in hand for about 3 weeks. I took it down and put a WWII Inglis Hi-Power Chinese Contract extra barrel I had (MY way of noting the model, thank you!) in it (after I eliminated that little projection on the top rear of the outside of the Inglis barrel...

    CCW Steel: Carrying the SA-35

I bought may SA 35 at the local Ace Hardware store in Hayward, Wisconsin for $749 about 3 weeks ago. After I got it home, I loaded it up with Speer Gold Dots and took it out to slay milk jugs at 7 yards. The pistol is a tack-driver, to use a trite slogan... I have put about 200 lead bullet loads...
