Not very difficult. I did have some difficulty getting the screw out that was holding the optics plate to the Hellcat (Where the red dot mounts), so I took it over to my friendly Master Gunsmith and he had it done, and the red dot mounted, in about three minutes.

I checked the Shield and J Point...ended up buying a Riton Optics X3 Tactix MPRD Micro Red Dot. It fits the Hellcat perfectly without any overlap. The MOA is 3 and it doesn't "quite" co-witness with the iron sights. By that I mean that I can see the top half of the front sight against the rear...

Shot my Hellcat for the first time today. It handled well and I used the iron sights as my Riton wasn't zeroed correctly. Having my gunsmith replace the crummy red fiber optic front sight with a proper front night sight and have him zero in the red dot. I'm going to have him smooth the trigger...

Roach...you might check for one of my earlier comments (page 10). I had a stuck screw holding the OSP plate in place and had to take it to a gunsmith. After he removed the stuck screw he asked if I'd like him to mount the optic...of course, I said yes. He immediately found that the included...

Guy...the gunsmith had to use a socket bit screwdriver to get that screw out also. The small allen that was included with the optic, as you pointed out, didn't have enough torque.

I'm glad that Allen Moore was able to handle the glitch. I hope that Riton takes the steps necessary to include the applicable screws.

That's what I was thinking. I'll talk with them tomorrow, rather than exchange emails. Their "no questions, lifetime warranty" ( if true), says something about the projected quality of their product.

The Crossbreed does poke me in the gut a little, depending on how I seat it on my belt...maybe I have too much of it (gut) that is. My wife complains it prints to much for her, so I may take a look at your suggestions, barjohn. Any further recommendations will be appreciated. I'm still waiting...

Thanks again...it's the front sight that sucks...the rear sight on mine is the correct one. I'll look around for an XD replacement and talk with my gun store's gunsmith.

I tried a WTP (We The People) IWB, found it printed to obviously and was slightly uncomfortable. I am now using that holster in my car, clipped to the steering wheel column. To replace it, I'm currently using an IWB Crossbreed Reckoning at the appendix position. It took about a week to get used...
