I had cataract surgery several years ago and when they replaced the lenses they made my left eye for close up and my right eye for distance...called mono-vision. I'm hoping the red dot makes acquisition on target easier/quicker. Anyway, looking forward your next update.

Even for the auto-brightness, this price is some $120 less than the Shield...not bad if it works well and it looks like it's an American company!

Guy...The article was an interesting read and the price was $70 +/- cheaper than the Shield I was looking at. I'm going to take it slow, but in the meantime, let us know how it functions and what you think of it.

Since posting, I received an email from Springfield Armory telling me that I could have the red fiber optic front sight replaced with a tritium & luminescent front night sight for merely $80 more and $10 shipping. I am not very happy!
