Monstrum is good kit. I’m partial to Badger, LaRue, and GG&G, but wouldn’t turn up my nose at Monstrum.

So. Walked in to my dealer, who I’ve been working with for decades. He’s getting out. Selling everything. So I got a few deals for being a loyal customer… I’m such a sucker for ATAS .22’s… He threw in the HK tac pack (3x17rd VP9/P30 mags and a case) for basically nothing.

I’m gonna speak as someone who has owned both a G19 and a X9. There is no comparison between the two, beyond they both launch 9mm bullets. It’s comparing a plow horse to Seabiscuit.

It’s not OVER 1000fps, either.;) And I tend to take manufacturers’ velocity claims with a grain of salt; they’re usually from test barrels, often longer than what your typical handgun would have.

1000fps is still subsonic (roughly 1125fps).

So…very cool, but… I don’t get the “subsonic” moniker attached to the .45. Isn’t ALL 230gr .45 subsonic? Even 230gr+P is under 1000fps… Oops. Shoulda tagged @Belt Fed on this.

Nope; just put them in clean & wiped down with a silicon rag/Rustprufe and you’re good to go.

Depends on the rifle. I don’t bother with AR’s, etc. Anything blued does.
