EDC~~~~~ How much do you care about it?

For what it's worth, I only like "plain jane" guns in general, and carry guns that are that way. So, I carry guns I like, but I don't worry about what would happen to it if something like that happens. The way I figure it, if that does happen, some scuffs on my gun will be the least of my...

    Gun Magazines

I actually still subscribe to pretty much all the "big" guys (NRA, G&A, AH and GUNS, etc.). They're pretty cheap and most of them have some really good writers....

▓ 9mm~~~ Buy Factory or Reload

Same here, when I actually buy 9mm. But, my love is .45. Those big slugs are a different story when it comes to cost. I've found it saves money to reload those (unless I come across some smoking deal somewhere on ball ammo I just can't pass up).

Extended cap magazines — Do you?

I saw TAL had a review of one of X-Product's drums yesterday (https://www.thearmorylife.com/forum/threads/information-age-trench-broom.240/). It's cool, but man is it expensive! And I would not want to let any dirt get in the side of that thing!

    1911 holsters.

For me, it's my Milt Sparks VersaMax2 IWB. It's a great rig. Comfortable, concealable, even with a 5" 1911. Can't say enough good things about it.

    Back-Up Guns: Do You?

I carry a 5" TRP 1911, which is no lightweight, with two spare mags. That's a lot of weight and gear. But, you know that whole "one is none" thing has me wondering if I should get a back up gun like a 911 or maybe something even as small as an NAA mini revolver. Do you all ever carry a BU gun...

Seems like Colt is introducing new 2020 Python

Agreed. A lot of money, but a lot less than an original!

    Are silencers worth the money?

I've always wanted one, but never wanted to do all that paperwork and deal with all the headaches. I also did not want to be on a "list" like that, heck, I probably already am!

Carrying a full size handgun? Do you do IWB or OWB?

I've carried a full size TRP for many years in an IWB Milt Sparks Versa Max2, and it's very comfortable. I've also carried a .45 XD in the same type of rig from Milt Sparks and found it to be very comfortable. So, for me, it's IWB all the way. It just makes concealing it so much easier.

    Grips

I've put Elk grips from Eagle Grips on my 1911 and really like them. Pricey, but cool.... https://www.eaglegrips.com/colt-1911-grips/31-1911-genuine-american-elk-grips.html

Wow! Wish it weren't so expensive, but I guess still a lot cheaper than an original!

    Virginia gun laws?

Well, I remember that they used to have that ridiculous "one gun a month" handgun law a while back, so it's no telling what they're up to right now...

    Surviving Incoming Fire Drill

I've been watching Pike's videos on the site for a while and really enjoy them. He does a really good job of giving you tips on drills that will really up your skills, but usually only require a box or two of ammo (or less) and not a ton of time. I wish I had the time and budget to spend hours...

    1911 Caliber Choice

I know 9mm is insanely popular right now in the 1911 (and I get why, with cheaper ammo and lighter recoil), but for me the 1911 just seems like it should be in .45. However, I do get an itch for a 10mm one from time to time, I have to say....

Gun Mistakes in Movies & TV

How about the flip side of this? I've seen a ton of bad gun handling in movies, but not much good. So when I do see good stuff, I'm really impressed. One that really caught my eye was Way of the Gun http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Way_of_the_Gun,_The Apart from some low brass shotgun shells on the...
