Lethal Dangers in Extreme Close Quarters Defense

Good article. I will say personally I’m not a gan if the whole stand off device and chalk it up to marketing. Chuck Haggard has an excellent block in his Close Oroximity Handgun where he demonstrated and had everyon so it where you punched the handgun into the target and held the slide. Yea...

This^^^^ It’s not a bad deal if that’s what anyone wants. You can’t go wrong and you won’t be out any of you get it and decide it’s not for you!

Shotguns VS. PCCs for home defense

While using force against a home invasion you have a lot more leeway in almost all jurisdictions getting sued is overblown. While you can have some legal expenses in any shooting people get the “cause of action” confused with an actual lawsuit. Cause of action is where someone files a petition...

Shotguns VS. PCCs for home defense

Well for those interested in a shotgun a class I assisted at here’s the difference in flight control 00 buck. While both would be dead the one hole group is 2 rounds of Federal Flight control 12 ga out of a Benelli M4. Both groups were One at 5 yards one at 10!

Shotguns VS. PCCs for home defense

While no doubt shotguns and a PCC are relevant choices the most underrated choice especially for non gun folks , or those that just don’t practice is a Ruger 10/22 or a 22 LR or Mag Lever gun. I don’t k ow of too many folks hit with a 22 out of a 10/22 that survived IF decent ammo like CCI...

    Range Guns Vs Carry Guns

I’m in an HK camp myself (HK45 LEM) and I don’t anticipate it breaking anytime alone. But that’s where some of us are different as we don’t treat our guns like most do their lawn mowers

    Range Guns Vs Carry Guns

I believe the point behind the suggestion to have a duplicate handgun for training is for the serious trainers to not wear out their carry gun. That in itself isn’t a bad dudes if your a 50 round a week shooter. LE Agencies are like 100 rounds ish a year (some are more proactive in training...

    Know the Law

Lawyers do what they have always done. It’s more a case of you can count in being recorded by 2 if not more cameras at the time. So hopefully whatever optics you present can be articulated as “reasonable”

    Know the Law

The biggest issue I see is there is a disconnect with people that the firearm is a lifestyle change that most don’t realize the severity of being wrong with can bring you. You don’t go home and get a high five from the police like TV. All 50 states state any force must be “Reasonable” and tie...

    Range Guns Vs Carry Guns

Sometimes we all get a little too driven on training and defensive stuff. Some folks just shoot for recreational purposes and we forget that and maybe should ourselves from time to time! That said as far as defensive stuff. I am a mission drives the gear guy so I carry different guns depending...

    This Requires An Explanation

I watched this story in the news. The Police Chief was a typical clueless appointee doing a spineless Mayors bidding. The homeowner needs to be sitting in a jail cell until trial period.

Can You Make a Sub-1-Second Shot?

We all have had a sub second draw and shot at a few points. My experience is it’s not a realistic goal on the application side. But how about laying on your back after you get knocked to the ground with the wind knocked out of you? Probably isn’t gonna be that quick then. On the competition...

Can You Make a Sub-1-Second Shot?

What’s your average points down on a Bakersfield Qual? Or score in a 5 yard round up? Cold on a consistent basis?!

Can You Make a Sub-1-Second Shot?

From concealment that’s a hard task. Lots of folks claim yet when I throw up a B8 with 5 yard round up drill from Justin Dyal and 2 1/2 second par from the holster most struggle to keep it in the black!

    10mm solution.

There are probably less places now but several places offered quality grip reductions on Glocks. One I would recommend is Bowie Cutom I believe he still does it. https://www.bowietacticalconcepts.com/pictures.html

    10mm solution.

Out of your choices Glock 20 or not listed a S@W M@P 10mm And not trying to tell anyone their baby is ugly I have personally seen several Rock Island 10mm 1911’s have issues at a large indoor range from causal shooters to bowling pin match participants. Enough that I would recommend against it...

Wheelgun Wednesday: Ruger New Model Blackhawk Convertible 9mm/.357 Mag

I have a 6 1/2” 357/9mm Blackhawk convertible that I really like. The only way I’d like it More is if it was 4 5/8th inch and have a Bisley frame which I thought about adding. I’d like to pick up the 45 Colt/ACP version as well. Great guns!

Do You Own Too Many Guns?

can I get by with a lot less than I have?…..yes. I have thought about trimming some from the beard and maybe getting a couple different ones. I have probably 3 many 45’s and more 9mm than I use. And way more K Frame S&Ws but I’m not going hungry either. So if that’s your jam do you!
