    This Requires An Explanation

Defund some more Police, that’ll fix it🙄, or you could just make everything legal, then the crime rate’ll drop to zero😏

.32 ACP: The Round that Made the Auto Pistol

Though poo poo’ed today, back when the .32 was carried by a lot of European police depts (including the Gestapo). Also, you’ll remember when M issued the .32 PPK to James Bond to replace his .25 Berreta he stated “it’s a real stopper”🙄

Montana Outdoors: Back to Basics: Muzzleloaders

You can’t hold ‘em like a modern rifle-the curved buttplate fits the upper arm at the shoulder. If you hold it like a modern rifle it Will hurt😏

Montana Outdoors: Back to Basics: Muzzleloaders

Pedersoli is a darn fine rifle. Use a .310 ball and a .010 lubed patch with 15-25 grains of powder (try different charges to see what works for you). I find 15 is similar to .22 LR, while .25 is like a .22 WMR. Great fun and a true challenge👍

Is the .45’s Stopping Power a Myth?

Which is the whole point. No amount of capacity will compensate for lack of skill.

    Top US firearms manufacturers

I gotta admit I was surprised that Sig was #1-id have guessed Glock-every shop I go in has a slew of them and most cops I see are packing one,

Gyrojet - never caught on with any of the services

I also remember . I seem to recall it took some distance to reach peak velocity (plus there were supposed to be accuracy issues). Cool concept though..

The Rise of the Modern Light

I’m old enough that to me the 5.56 is a light rifle cartridge. 🙄. Real battle rifles use much more powerful rounds (30-06, 7.62 NATO, 7.92 mm, 6.5 Swede, etc). Remember the light weight of the M16/AR platform and it’s ammo we’re big “selling points” back in the 60’s. Today there’s enough...

    Zap!

I’d think a couple of those would solve the problem with drones verfkying American bases…. Also be pretty good on dealing with those pesky pirate boats in the Middle East and Somalia…

    John Farnam and DTI

Well said. Pretty darn sad state of affairs . And if you’re not very careful when you are attacked, somehow, magically, the attacker becomes a “victim” while the honest person becomes the villain. Insanity at its finest.

Is a .22LR round plausible for self defense?

Operative word “most”👍. Certainly no sane person wants to be shot. Problem is those who are higher than a Georgia pine, crazy, or both😳

    Daffy Zone…..

😳I wish I could unsee that! Likes like “sober” vs “12 beers”. What was that song? “The girls all get prettier at closing time, they all begin to look like movie stars”😊

Is a .22LR round plausible for self defense?

Ok, just to clarify, I am not a gunfighter, I have NO desire to BE a gunfighter, and with God’s grace I will never ever need to use a firearm in self defense. That said, I have Hunted a LOT of game over the past 65 years and I’m going to call BS on the whole “the .22 works just fine” train of...

HK-USA CC9 Redefines the Micro Compact Market

I’d like to see truly “new” designs that change the field (like the original 365 did, rather than just another also ran.

HK-USA CC9 Redefines the Micro Compact Market

HK builds good stuff and I’m sure it’ll run fine. However, seems to me that yet another plastic, striker fired, “trigger safety” 9mm Glock clone isn’t exactly “needed”🙄- I mean the market is full of ‘em already. Decent pistols (as I’m sure this will be) but just not my piece of meat😏

PRODUCT RECALL NOTICE: Winchester S22LRT Recall Notice

I just returned some Browning BRP .22 ( also made by Olin) because of FTF on 13% of the rounds fired. Good solid hits but no priming compound 😏. That and now this is giving me a bit of concern on QC
