Anyone familiar with the Shield SMSc Optic on the Hellcat RDP?

I did check the SMSC quick guide and it states “The SHIELD Mini Sight Compact uses a 3V Lithium battery type CR2032 which under average use can last 1 to 3 years. Replacement is required when the intensity of the dot appears greatly diminished against a bright background.” Might of come with a...

Anyone familiar with the Shield SMSc Optic on the Hellcat RDP?

Some optics come with the ability to use different dot styles, not sure if the SMSC does. You can look up the manual to see if it’s an option. Otherwise you need a new dot. Do you have it set on automatic brightness adjust? I never use this feature because I have yet to see a dot do this well...

Which stance do you use ?

I feel like an immobile statue in isosceles, I’ve tried it and I have disliked it. So generally weaver at the range, but I do try to train from various positions since me thinks in an SD situation my mind is not going to be thinking about what stance I am in. But that’s just like my opinion man.

    Ayoob: Springfield Echelon Review

I need to figure out the sarcasm/joking font lol. But there was that one recently, I want to say Nashville. Guy shot girlfriend, and yes used the “gun just went off” defense. Although pretty sure criminally convicted. I agree it’s not a bad defense. Unless it’s a p320 apparently lol.

Questions about Red Dots for EDC?

Okay lots of fun posts lol. Back to OP question. I EDC a red dot, specifically a holosun EPS 6 MOA dot. To me MOA size matters little but comes down to personal preference, I prefer a 2 MOA dot, but the 6 MOA was on sale, so there you have it. I pick up both no issues. I would go to the store...

    Ayoob: Springfield Echelon Review

While I can understand where Ayoob is coming from and respect his experience. I do think you could justify a modified trigger. You are responsible for every round fired and the placement of those rounds, thus a modified trigger was installed to improve accuracy. I would like to think this is a...

    Looking for recommendations for Holsters

For that specific combination, going to be hard to find. I checked my usual go to, muddy River tactical and Trex arms. But they didn’t have this option. I know Falco holsters likely would make a custom One, shipping is slow and they come from overseas. But that’s the only company I can think of...

Fixed Blade vs. Folding Knife for EDC?

Good timing, this has been on my mind lately. I carry a folder but it’s mainly a tool and not really for self defense and I carry it on my strong side. I really should migrate to something I could carry on my weak side. I would go with OTF blade I think. My fixed blades are all field knives not...

    Holster recommendations for AIWB

I am with @Bassbob on MRT. I have used the soft leather almost exclusively for my p365 prior to going optic on edc. Then I modified my Tulster to fit (saving money I guess). I will be going back to them for iwb xmacro holster. Mainly cause I want one I can appendix or adjust cant and go 3...

Springfield SA-35 vs. Springfield 1911 Operator

Operator for me, while I appreciate the high power and would love a WW2 era one, can’t say the SA-35 perked my interest at all. Maybe someday if I had more money and a bigger safe though.

    Added the P365 (California Edition)

For whatever reason I find with a flat face trigger I start seeing this issue a lot more then I do when using a curved trigger. Honestly not sure why but I do. I have kept the curved trigger on my p365 but I want an XL or a non-comp macro. But I would likely swap the trigger for a curved one...

We Need To Be Nice to Thieves

Honestly I am at a loss for words and this idiots vote counts same as everyone else’s. Mag bans, assault weapons ban, safety training, background checks, mental health check, and countless other hoops to just exercise my 2nd amendment right. Yet I’m a fascist and an asshole for wanting basic...
