Drop in AR trigger and warranty

Thanks for the suggestions. Keeping the NiB trigger in a safe place is a good idea. Love how this rifle shoots... just the heavy trigger is a bit slow for my liking.

Drop in AR trigger and warranty

Hi I am a new Saint owner. I'm thinking about installing a lighter pull drop-in trigger, but wonder if doing so will void the lifetime warranty? Thanks

    Malfunctioning ejection port cover

Hey Texas Maybe it's the ten degree temp drop today or maybe just my newness to the AR platform, but the ejection port cover seems to be closing just fine now. I think maybe the detent spring needed some breaking in of its own. Thank you for all your help. God bless.

    Malfunctioning ejection port cover

Hi XDman I called SA's customer service line. They said to send it in, whole rifle that is; they'd look at it and send it back in 2-4 weeks time. Not sure if it's worth sending it in for that. I'm wondering if just taking a file to it would weaken the aluminum and continue the problem, or if...

    Malfunctioning ejection port cover

Hi Talyn, Thanks for the reply. Since this is my 1st AR, I'm not sure how stiff the detent spring should be. I can depress it with my thumbnail and it's not freely moving up and down within the assembly, just stiff.

    Malfunctioning ejection port cover

Hi Texas I'll check the springiness of the cover and get back to you. Once I get the cover plate closed it looks and works like it's supposed to.

    Malfunctioning ejection port cover

Thanks for the replies. Sound like a metal weakness. I'm not sure if I'll send it in, as turnaround time is quite lengthy given how quickly that simple can be Dremeled smooth. But doing so, may create the problem again if it's an aluminum alloy weakness issue.

    Malfunctioning ejection port cover

Ok, I've put 104 rounds through my new Saint (2-54 round sessions one week apart). After getting home from the 2nd session, I cleaned my rifle, but noticed the ejection port cover wouldn't close. I could only close it by inserting a narrow object (like a paper clip) to depress the detent, then...

    Brand new saint, 1st cleaning

Thank you, one and all for the excellent suggestions/ recommendations. Greatly appreciated. I'm taking her to the range this Sunday. Any thoughts on barrel break in procedure? Once again, YouTube is split between yes and not necessary. I want to do right by my saint. I understand barrel break...

    Brand new saint, 1st cleaning

I'm new to the AR platform, having just picked up my brand new SA Saint 5.56. I've YouTube myself full to the brink on how to do a thorough first cleaning. I've only seen a couple of videos but am looking for more tips, hints, and tricks to clean my rifle before I start putting round down range...

    Green dot for saint

Thanks for your reply. I think I'm heading more toward reflex/holographic than tube style optic.

What sort of a optic should I put on a SAINT Victor 5.56?

Just plinking distance 100 yards max. Looking more at reflex/holographic optic over tube style sights. Thank you for your reply.

    Green dot for saint

Hey, Thanks for the suggestion. Had my eyes lasered in 2007. In 2014, left eye retina tore and detached. Three surgeries later left eye is essentially blind...still see out of it, just blurry and red color blind. Right eye is still 20/20, but I prefer to shoot both eyes open, so red vision is...

    Green dot for saint

Hello all, I'm new to the AR platform and am buying a B5 Saint. I've decided to put a green dot optic on it, as my aging eyes aren't liking red dots. I want to keep price as low as possible. Any thoughts on a decent (less than $250) priced green dot? At this time I'm looking at a Sightmark...
