The Forced Reset Trigger Market Is Expanding

It appears manufacturers feel mighty confident the ATF has no legitimate case against Rare Breed Triggers and their FRT 15 product. Now a company out of Albuquerque, New Mexico has dropped a near identical product called the Wide Open Trigger that has a slightly less price point...

I’ve pulled the trigger and gone Rare Breed

The hammer makes it a slide in process, try lining it up and pulling back the charging handle, sometimes it helps

I’ve pulled the trigger and gone Rare Breed

Any AR with a full auto BCG and H3 buffer with a carbine stock can run it, some even will run it with an H2. I have them in a M&P 15T and an M&P 15X and they love it. I put Geissele BCG and buffers/ springs in them both.

I’ve pulled the trigger and gone Rare Breed

What are you calling a 5.5 pistol, the PDW? If so, you can't run the FRT on that gun as it has a proprietary BCG and buffer system that work with the Maxim Brace.

Comments now Opened to ATF on Pistol Braced Gun Ban

I built a belt fed AR I'm fine tuning to get humming with a special trigger. I'm going to use the spring out of a German MG34 in the buffer to give it the extra oomph to strip bullets from belt links and have energy left to ram into battery.

It’s a robust weapon, hearty and has a cool factor, sort of a hybrid of an AR and an AK mechanically. it is convertible to a left or right handed shooter for a fee, but you can’t do it yourself or with a local gunsmith, and it isn’t free from IWI. But it is not a natural thing to pick up if...

Comments now Opened to ATF on Pistol Braced Gun Ban

As for muzzle velocity, I’m not sure there’s that great lethality difference between a 10 inch barrel and 16 inch barrel in a close quarters setting. But what was really frustrating was that beyond 25 yards groupings were really broad with the X95, and the only after market triggers by Geissele...

You have to buy the X95 in the left handed configuration or ship a right handed configuration to IWI to modify for $100 plus shipping. Either way the setup is dedicated to a left or right handed shooter. The Tavor 7, their 308 weapon, is a true ambidextrous weapon that can rotate the BCG to...

Biden Administration Bans Import of Russian Ammunition?

It moved a lot for AK owners and first time AR owners / people on a budget that like to plink, or just desperate for ammo the last 18 months. Academy's Monarch brand was Russian steel and Serbian brass.

Biden Administration Bans Import of Russian Ammunition?

The loss of Russian brass and steel will make other ammo more expensive both because of demand and the lack of competition.

Biden Administration Bans Import of Russian Ammunition?

https://www.gunsandammo.com/editorial/russian-ammo-imports-banned-halted/424581 "roughly 40 percent of the ammunition sold in the U.S. originates from Russian sources. Gun owners have become reliant on the ability of companies such as Wolf, Tula and Barnaul to provide reasonably-priced...

Comments now Opened to ATF on Pistol Braced Gun Ban

I recently sold my X95, honestly, behind the cool factor of it being something different, it was an inferior gun to a well made AR. It wasn't as accurate, it has limited after market upgrades, it isn't ambidextrous to allow left or right handed people to shoot it without being pelted with...

Biden Administration Bans Import of Russian Ammunition?

I don't use it either, but it does bother me because it represents over 40 percent of ammo used in the US and could impact the price of brass ammo adversely, and make brass ammo unaffordable to the people reliant on steel case from Russia.

ATF goes after Rare Breed trigger FRT-15

ATF goes after Rare Breed trigger FRT-15

Yes, but there are tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of bump stocks they could do nothing about and are at large. And that case is trending in favor of bump stocks, which has significant downstream consequences against the ATF being arbitrary. All of this is a multifaceted...

ATF goes after Rare Breed trigger FRT-15

Don't panic, they're not illegal, the letter from the ATF is just a warning shot over the bow of the company to try and get them to cease production. It has no legal implications toward trigger owners at this time. There is a long legal battle ahead, and the ATF has to take certain steps before...

    WWII - Bomb's Didn’t Beat Japan … Stalin Did

If that's the case then Stalin didn't beat Japan, US mechanized industry did. We provided 75 percent of Soviet tanks, trucks, jeeps, airplanes, guns, fuel and food by the end of the war.

    I'm curious..

Hopefully all the shortages and price raises are temporary, but projections are two to three years before full supply normalcy returns.

    I'm curious..

It's scare right now, 18 months running, the other rifle rounds are largely back but Academy and Bass Pro aren't able to keep 6.5 Grendel on the shelves if they can get any.

    I'm curious..

It's a potent round but a waste of money if you don't hunt regularly because it's too expensive and scarce to plink with it.
