Every Way to Carry the Hellcat with Alien Gear

I definitely like the look of those and it was in the running (top 3) when I was picking my appendix carry holster. I ultimately went with a Vedder because as like Scott said, it looked a bit complicated and cumbersome, comparatively speaking. The Alien system certainly looks more versatile.

I'm biased so my opinion doesn't carry much weight here, but I myself like the PX4 (and the CX4) and XD of course. I have to admit that I'm not really familiar with a few that you listed, so again, not much weight here. I really dig the PX4 Compact Carry with the Langdon Tactical Trigger job and...

Should training be mandatory? Answer: No!

    In short, media and money.

Should training be mandatory? Answer: No!

If you ask a foreign national they'll tell you that we have to step over bodies in the streets on a daily basis!

Should training be mandatory? Answer: No!

Not really touching on the mandatory part (I'm rarely a fan of mandatory anything, especially when government is involved), I'd say that early introduction to and knowledge about firearms would go a long way toward eliminating a lot of the stigma around them and would also make it much safer.

    SA 35 Availability

I do make sure that I've held them first of course. I go to our local stores and get a feel for them before I buy online. Unfortunately we don't have anywhere that we can test or fire anything beforehand. And of course I do as thorough an inspection as I can before taking possession. I also only...

    SA 35 Availability

Yeah, my last few purchases have been through them. It's one of those necessary evils I suppose, because I was at Cabelas looking at the XDM Elite and they wanted $699 for it and I found it for $550. Similar with my Hellcat, and I didn't even bother checking there for my Victor. Stocked items...

    SA 35 Availability

I've found a few on gunbroker, but not at a price that I found to be reasonable (for me to pay right now anyway). I know that's not Okie and I don't know laws about online ordering there, but...... https://www.gunbroker.com/All/search?Keywords=sa-35&PageSize=96&Sort=13&View=1&BuyNowOnly=1

    Why This Forum?

Hoorah Chair Force! (Sorry, I can never resist, I was a Seabee). I'm pretty new here, too, but welcome!

    Emissary 9mm

Great, something else for me to drool over. I'd be all over it if it were the price of the Ronin (been looking at that) but my wife may just use it on me at that price. P.S. My wife loves to shoot but I've been on a bit of an acquisition spree as of late.

    XDM Elite OSP Mag Release

I definitely prefer this method with this particular piece as well. The first time I tried tap/slap I raised it up and the mag fell out because it wasn’t seated. Mushing works every time. Slapping hard works as well, so I’m hoping it will loosen up a bit over time. Mines brand new with 0 range...

    Why This Forum?

Thank you, Bob, I appreciate the kind words. I know that there’s a wealth of knowledge here and I’m thankful to have access to it. I hope to share things that I know as well. If you’re not growing you’re dying 😉 In regard to social media, I understand. I was referring more to the constant...

    XDM Elite OSP Mag Release

Well then....thank you for the succinct explanation. I'll go to work on this. Since you mentioned the spring a few times I have to admit; I couldn't even load the mags to capacity with the amount of resistance the springs have. I appreciate the response.

    XDM Elite OSP Mag Release

Full. I've attempted an empty mag drop, but because you bring it up I can't recall whether or not I had the same trouble. I'll give it a try when I get home and see if it's any different. Thanks for that.

    Why This Forum?

I discovered the forum whilst researching the Saint Victor and I liked what I saw. I've been a fan of SA for a long time and I always like to learn from those who've had different experiences. I don't do social media, so this is a good outlet. So far so good!

    XDM Elite OSP Mag Release

Thanks for the reply. What I mean is that it's physically difficult to push in. I'm 6' 4" and have proportionate hands to my body, meaning they aren't small and I can reach, but there seems to be the slightest of angles so that no matter how much pressure I put on it it doesn't go in. BUT, if I...

    XDM Elite OSP Mag Release

Hi all, I was playing around a bit to familiarize myself with the grip and posture and noticed that the mag release can be a bit finicky. I'm not sure if it's the length of my thumb or the angle in which my thumb presses on the release, but I can't get it to drop easily. I have to bring it...

Why the Shotgun is One of the Best Options for Personal Defense

I enjoy shooting shottys, especially clay pigeon, but I'd never get to where I need or could justify a Benelli or anything. Used to love my Mossberg 500, but I'm in the Kel-Tec KS7 club now for shotty personal defense.
