Congratulations, I think you'll be happy with your HK.
I was intrigued with the MP-5 like styling and picked up one last year. It has been probably the most reliable 22LR rifle that I have. It shoots everything, and for a 22LR that's saying something.
In fact I just picked up two more genuine...
I think that Honest Outlaw's review of the Prodigy was made months ago when it was first introduced and was accurate at that time.
From all indications most of the problems have been resolved. My Prodigy has been error free for its entire 600+ rounds.
I would like to see him do a retake on his...
I have the gen 2 Dawson Precision mag well on my Prodigy mainly because another forum member said that it fit and had one installed on his.
It does fit and looks great. A bit snug, but then that's what you want.
I've also heard said others say to make sure that you use a gen 1 mag well because...
I don't know how many of you watch the honest outlaw on YouTube, but IMO he gives some of the most honest and straightforward reviews on the net. If the gun is good he'll tell you, and if the gun is no good he'll tell you that too. He doesn't hold back and at the same time he doesn't suck up to...
The CZ P-10 pistol line up is an excellent offering that is often overlooked. My guess is they lowered the price to draw in more new customers.
I know my CZ P-10C has been an excellent shooter.
I can understand a small price increase in the optic plates, everything is going up, but over double in price?
When the Prodigy initially came out they were $60, and that was reasonable. Now for SA to more than double the price makes it seems like SA was lowballing potential customers to lure...
I haven't tried the Sentinel, but I do have several of the Swampfox Justice green dots. I like the Justice because the window is a bit larger.
So far nothing to report but good.
Wow! They really knocked it out of the park with this custom Prodigy. With all of the performance upgrades, the custom metal work and the beautiful hand grip this Prodigy looks every bit like an exotic custom work of art, which it is of course. That goes to show that if you have enough money...
A P220 Carry in 45 ACP only has an eight round capacity while most polymer 45s can hold a lot more cartridges, with some up to 15 rounds.
Make sense now?
Looks like you got lucky and found a good one. Congratulations.
It's a shame Sig stopped making the P220 Carry model. Other than the low round capacity, it's just about perfect. I guess the polymer wonders and their lower prices and higher round capacity were just too much competition for it...
The only way I like a Glock is when it's wrapped in a P80 frame. The Glock itself is a fine gun, but it's grip angle just ruins it.
Take all of the Glock internal parts, put them in a P80 frame and it gives you the dependability of a Glock, and it's comfortable to shoot too.
As others have said the Prodigy is 9MM only. 45ACP double stack pistols are a rarity as 9mm is the most popular handgun caliber today. I'm certain that SA will eventually expand on their Prodigy line, so who knows what the future offerings may be.
I know it's not a 1911 or a 2011 style, but...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but SA has since discontinued the full size 5.25" barrel XD-M. That seems a strange move because anyone wanting a 10MM would also want maximum velocity obtained with the longer barrel. Seems like a mistake on SA's part.
The only SA 10MM with a 5" barrel listed on the SA...
I've never had the chance to handle a Staccato. I don't doubt that it is the better gun, but right now I don't think that I'm going to rush out and get one. The Prodigy has created sort of an interesting problem. It's a good enough pistol that even though there are higher quality ones out...
My opinion on the Hex is that it's an OK basic red dot, but there are a lot of others out there that are better. I got it mainly to try it out and put a SA optic on my SA pistol. It's OK in this application but I won't be buying it for use on other non SA pistols. More than likely I will stick...
@SimonRL..Yes I did clean the emitter as best as possible.
To me the LCI was poor planning on the part of SA. I will more than likely send my barrel in for work to eliminate the source of the problem.
@dajogejr..thank you for your offer, but I have a couple of spare Holosun 509t's I could use...
To me any time you can't see through the red dot, it's a safety hazard. And it's not like you can shoot all day and only need to clean the lens at the end of the shooting session. You literally have to clean the lens every 50 rounds or so or all you get is a dirty lens that you almost can't see...
With all of this talk about SA fine customer service, I contacted them by using the form on their website, asking for recommendations about what I believe is a design flaw or even a safety hazard with their loaded chamber indicator being only about 1/4" away from the red dot lens and spewing so...
It looks like the threat of losing the business of millions of 2nd Amendment supporters has forced Visa and MC to change their plans. They will now hold off on implementing their plans to use a special vendor code to track firearm and ammo purchases.
Discover which was the first to say they...
It seems like all of the problems you talk about, I've had also. My fiber optic rod fell out at the FFL the day I picked up my Prodigy. SA was good enough to have red and green replacement rods mailed to my house. Easy repair, but still frustrating.
I also bought my Prodigy with the Hex...
