    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

Nothing wrong with confidence in a brand. I try not to pick on Glock guys too much. I think they already have it hard enough walking with that limp 😂.

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

Never shot a Les. Don’t know anyone that has one. Everyone I know pretty much shoots on my range, I get to try out a lot of stuff I don’t have. Just haven’t run into one yet. At the price point, it’s one of those I’d have to touch first.

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

I have told the wife, the boys each get to pick two. The rest she can sell off and put the money in the bank for when she needs it.

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

    I take it back, I counted 6 that were unreliable. 1 Springfield 911, a 1 RIA Baby Rock, 3 S&W 380 EZ’s, 1 SCCY CPX-2. The last 4 were my wife’s guns. 5 of them are 380s.

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

According to my spreadsheet, I’ve had 70 handguns that I’ve purchased in 3 years. I can count on one hand how many of those were unreliable (before these).

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

No argument there. What I was getting at is if you as a manufacturer need to cut corners to make a price point, you do it in areas that won’t get someone killed. Mass production of unreliable guns is just plain stupid. They achieved nothing by doing that. They are now paying shipping both ways...

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

No, my expectations aren’t too high. You can substitute blued for parkerized, bead blast for polished and even expect play and grittiness in the action but if it doesn’t run, you successfully created a $900 chunk of scrap metal. All the perceived “tolerances” in the world amount to diddly squat...

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

I buy ANY gun, I expect it to run reliable. There’s no caveat to that. I have had many $600-$800 1911s that have never had issues, some that cleared up in the first 5 mags. What we are seeing here is neither typical or acceptable.

    IL Bans “ghost guns”

My other one isn’t appropriate for family friendly forums 😉

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

I almost said that but bit my tongue. I do agree most of the issues are QC from what I can tell. There is a certain amount of break-in that has to be accounted for at the friction points. I think those are easily separated by looking at the gun and how it acts. I don’t think it’s acceptable to...

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

The Stainless II and the Loaded have been around for some time. When I bought the 10mm Stainless II, it wasn’t listed on the Kimber site as an available caliber. Were they in production, suspended then production restarted? Possibly. It’s showing 10mm as an available caliber now. I’ve...

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

I agree, it’s been rough. I have nearly $6k in these so far and another $2400 coming. There is another Garrison and a Rapide, both in 9mm.there is definitely a common theme and it’s not brand specific. Question is, what would the average person have done or perceived having gotten one of these...

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

I called Kimber and arranged for another trip to fix what we know about. New rep working on it. I also asked if there were any issues he was privy to with the Rapides. He said he only knew of one 10mm Black Ice that he has seen come through support. None for the Dawn. That was promising. He also...

Kimber doesn’t make mags, MecGar makes Kimber and Springfield mags, along with a host of other gun manufacturers.

Is Low Quality Factory Ammo Dangerous?

It’s been fun bantering brother. I need a couple hours sleep before I have to get up for work. I always enjoy the 500 magnum conversation. I’ve done a lot with that cartridge. I keep 4 power levels of cartridges on hand just so the not so tough shooters can enjoy it too. They are guns no one...

Is Low Quality Factory Ammo Dangerous?

I already posted my load data which is way more potent than your Hornady manual says. In addition I’ve posted the videos with the chronographed evidence. I don’t know how much more proof you need. You should probably go back and read it. You should also compare apples to apples. If your 500...

Is Low Quality Factory Ammo Dangerous?

Personally, I like the handguns more than the rifles. Don’t ask me why, I have no idea. Guess I handle the recoil better in the wrist than the shoulder 🤷🏻‍♂️
