The one gun you’d love to own but never would spend that kind of money

I’ll probably go for the Dan Wesson soon. Good quality mid range price. I missed out big time on a Pointman that went for $1000 new. Got busy and forgot. Still kicking myself.

The one gun you’d love to own but never would spend that kind of money

I just had to tell myself no to a stainless 50AE Desert Eagle. Only because I had 4 others on my list and that one would take the place of 2.

Top 11 Most American Guns Of All Time

List is too short to list everything… but… I’d add the Tommy gun to that list.

US Sells 1 million Civilian Guns for Record-Setting 35th Straight Month

As I said, gun control capital of the country. Last I checked, there were a ton of venues and circumstances you cannot carry in IL and people are up in arms about NY and CA. We’ve been under this for decades.

US Sells 1 million Civilian Guns for Record-Setting 35th Straight Month

Good to know people are still arming up. I watched a short clip shooting the IL 4th of July parade yesterday. Guy got off 70 shots. I want to know where all the armed citizens were that could have put a stop to it. ...Oh yeah, Chicagoland suburb... Gun control capital of the country...

    How important is price?

Lol, my closest is 20 min, the next is 30, my preferred is 2 hours, so we go once every two weeks. At 10.5 mpg, it’s expensive trip. Shed behind his house where people never heard of cell reception.

Metro Arms Hard Chrome 1911 in 10mm

Wasn’t as bad as I thought. 10 yards. 1.1”. I’m 90% sure the low one was a little flinch monster. I would not take this as a true accuracy test but it’s close enough for eval. Wife would call all the pups in the back yard so I could get it done before the sun dropped. I had to stop after each...

Galloway guide rod assembly for a walther p22

I think that’s the same little Walther I just bought the other day. If I remember correctly, I think it was just a matter of playing find the hole when reassembly on mine. I’m glad it at least has a metal guide rod. I’d have to go look up that assembly you mentioned.

Metro Arms Hard Chrome 1911 in 10mm

At the end of the day, you are the only one that has to live with it. In my experience, the only negative I have about the American Classics are the little bit of trigger creep which I’m ok with. Its not terrible but it’s there. It’s a trade off for me. I invite anyone to price a hard chrome...

    How important is price?

Enough. It’s not whether they have improvements, it the cost vs return. It’s just not worth it for me.

    How important is price?

I think we have all been in a position at some point in our lives that cost vs available funds was a concern. I was financially limited for many years in my younger days. I enjoy what I have while I have it. I may not always be able to be this carefree with my money. I just try to keep my guns...

Seems I vaguely remember something like that.

    How important is price?

I don’t keep everything. If it fails to impress me or I just plain get bored, I’ll drop a dozen or so off at the local auction house, replenish some toy money and buy some new ones. Probably got over a dozen sitting up there right now. I lost count. In fact, I’m giving serious consideration to...

    How important is price?

Very. I probably bought 30 guns already this year. If I were a 1 or 2 gun guy, every couple years, it would be different. I will support the local shops if they can get me in the neighborhood of where I want to be but that’s not always possible. Some brands require min buy-ins (I won’t mention...

Metro Arms Hard Chrome 1911 in 10mm

I went ahead and ordered myself one in 9mm just to complete the set. Two in 45, one in 10mm and one in 9mm.

Metro Arms Hard Chrome 1911 in 10mm

It’s a Rapide Dawn, not the Ice, although, I wouldn’t mind a Rapide Black Ice. Good eye though.

Metro Arms Hard Chrome 1911 in 10mm

Nice edition to my “Holy Smokers” Friday’s family pic Vault wall is getting filled out nicely. May have to make room for another row soon.

Metro Arms Hard Chrome 1911 in 10mm

Decided to create a new thread for this one. The Metro Arms American Classic II, 10mm, in hard chrome. I tested 3 Kimber Stainless II’s in 10mm in the previous thread. None I would consider were “ready to go out of the box”. One needed, and still is in, an extended breakin. By extended, I mean...

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

Sooo. The Springfield Loaded I was waiting on wasn’t up to my standards. Was obviously used quite a bit in one if those kydex holsters. Wore the crap out of it. Some pretty deep abrasions that I could probably fix but for what I paid, we’ll see what the auction brings, so I left it with them...
