    Creating the Ultimate Garage Workshop

I end up with multiples because I'll spend a whole weekend looking for my damned Dremel. Can't find it. Buy a new Dremel. Trip on the old one as soon as I walk in the door after buying the new one.

State Lawmakers, others discuss ‘Stand Your Ground’ bill Bill approved by 72-23 vote Wednesday in state House

Technically....it IS a "license to kill"...but not in a bad way. It's a good option to have, when the only other option is to "BE killed". Personally? I'd take that option, and make sure I'm the one walking away from the situation in the end.

Ever heard of guns firing in a fire?

If it gets hot enough. Actually, would be MORE dangerous if chambered, since that would direct the bullet as if it were being fired. Bullets in a campfire, the casing simply explodes (weak link). Still not a happy thing to have happen (shrapnel sucks)...but less lethal than a bullet being...

Why The Biden Administrations Gun Ban Plan Should Concern Hunters

I think fighting regulation is a driving force behind a lot of companies (i.e. Colt, most recently) selling to, or being majority-managed by, foreign companies (CZ, in Colt's case). The US Government has a MUCH more difficult time trying to regulate foreign companies.

How To Survive For Three Days With No Water Or Power On $200

I could see that word with a "y" being banned as 'derogatory', but with an "i"? ...and we wonder why our youth don't know how to speak, or write...they rely on these programs and 'algorithms' to tell them what's "correct". Ugh.

    Creating the Ultimate Garage Workshop

You can build a garage-mahal...but then you'll accumulate more than enough stuff to fill it up. I used to have a 2 car (inline - one car in back, second car just inside the door) garage, and it was "enough" for me to have four motorcycles, always at least one project car, and "enough" parts to...

    CCW protection recommendations

...isn't that why we carry firearms in the first place...?

Why The Biden Administrations Gun Ban Plan Should Concern Hunters

Naomi Wolf. https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/02/leftist_naomi_wolf_comes_out_swingingin_favor_of_the_constitution.html From the interview (emphasis, mine):

    CCW protection recommendations

Nope. But I KNOW it won't suck all my accounts dry in the process, regardless of verdict. And, I KNOW it won't hurt to have a pro in my corner. And, they're not really assumptions. Look up any story about an event where a licensed gun owner uses their gun to protect themselves. Most any...

    CCW protection recommendations

I carry it because I carry. Justified use or not, if you kill someone with your firearm you KNOW you're going to be arrested, you KNOW you're going to court, and you KNOW it's going to cost tens (or hundreds) of thousands of dollars to prove you did nothing wrong. Even if you're in the right...

SCOTUS Eyes Whether Police Can Seize Guns From Homes Without Warrants

PC is easier to obtain in a vehicle simply due to "in plain sight" being much easier than in a home.

    1 passion for life!

I do for fun - cars, and motorcycles. My latest project is my 1970 Dodge Charger 500. It's (the hobby) a money pit. But, satisfying to see them go from "why would anyone mess with that??" to "damn, man...that thing is COOL!!" I say money pit because I do it for love...not for resale, or...

Nearly 1,500 Handgun Models De-Certified by the State of California

Probably. Or, that you have to "register" it (and likely pay taxes on it). Easier to take it on a fishing trip, and wha....um...oops! (splash)

Nearly 1,500 Handgun Models De-Certified by the State of California

That's easy - it's twofold. 1 - just like those who voted for Sleepy Joe, they truly believe "oh, they'll never do that to me... 2 - nobody, anywhere in this nation, passes "A" law anymore. Witness the currently-in-progress "COVID stimulus bill", it has a ton of "riders" built into it. The...

What Does "Brandishing" a Gun Mean?

"Brandishing" as far as weaponry and guns is, unfortunately, subjective. I live in Maryland, where we have a "wear and carry" permit, not a "concealed carry" permit. Maryland, once you are licensed, does not legally distinguish between concealed and open carry. We can carry open, or concealed...

    CCW protection recommendations

US Law Shield here as well. Their package appears very comprehensive and as others have said, it is NOT insurance, but rather access to 2A-specific legal representation should an incident occur and you are under police scrutiny. 24/7 hotline, instant local attorney dispatch, and I want to say...

SCOTUS Eyes Whether Police Can Seize Guns From Homes Without Warrants

Depends on the locale, just like the law regarding whether you are allowed to defend yourself in a vehicle depends on locale. Know your laws, especially when you travel. Just because it's that way at home, doesn't mean it's the same where you're visiting... So SCOTUS needs to go after what is...

    Test Fired?

Not sure on my XD-s - I personally fired a mag through it before I bought it, then did all my CCW quals with it prior to taking it home. My Hellcat did have marks on the barrel indicating it had been fired. I assume every firearm is test-fired at least once to ensure it works. Sort of like cars...

Colorado GOP Rep Boebert has firearms backdrop for Zoom. Democrat Reps not happy.

She does. Or, did...until she reopened her business counter to a shutdown order this past spring, and subsequently lost her foodservice license. Not sure if she managed to get her license back, or not.

Colorado GOP Rep Boebert has firearms backdrop for Zoom. Democrat Reps not happy.

And she owned a restaurant based around shooting. Encouraged all her staff (mostly females) to open-carry at work. The article said she set up the display specifically FOR the zoom meeting, to make a point. Chances are, they live in a safe when not strapped to her body. It's just a shame she...
