    No Wisdom in Warning Shots

He doesn't want the barrels fired into the air...he wants them fired through the front door, at whoever is out there.

Democrats Push National Safe Storage Bill in U.S. Congress

...if we want to survive, we HAVE to be that guy. Tell your Representatives how we feel. It's the only answer. The Left is certainly vocal enough - and we're losing our asses because - as a group - we tend to be quiet and polite about these things. "Higher Ground" and all. Well...it ain't...

Democrats Push National Safe Storage Bill in U.S. Congress

Sure. And Red Flag laws make it hard to get warrants, too. Karen: "My neighbor has a scary black gun in his house". If they go the way of red flag laws with this...that is all it would take. If you think any differently, you aren't paying attention.

How many rounds do you carry?

Montgomery County is on the border of D.C. 'nuff said, when questioning LEO aggressiveness. Especially when - as we can all see here - everything they do is on camera. I have my MD wear and carry. We, once licensed, can carry either open or concealed - the state does not differentiate. I...

How many rounds do you carry?

That was here in Maryland, where we have that "magic number" 10 round limit. Totally arbitrary, and it would get a law-abiding innocent citizen killed if Professor Stick attacked them instead of a LEO. Keeping the video on my phone, definitely. Especially here in the People's Republik...

    Green Laser for Hellcat?

Any info on the Viridian? I love the R5 on my XD-s. I currently have an O-light Baldr Mini on my Hellcat. I replaced the quick-release lever with a regular screw - it makes for a more secure mount (holds zero perfectly!), and reduces the bulk in the holster. I like that it's rechargeable, and I...

    Ammo Availability Predictions

Well if they pass the forced minimum-wage increase...EVERYTHING will get more expensive. It's called inflation. Paying twice as much (minimum wage bump to $15/hr) for the same product (one hour of basic labor), with no increase in product value (i.e. you aren't getting more hours for your...

    Six Degrees with Mike Rowe

That's because, at least in my understanding, "Discovery +" is a pay version of Discovery, much like HBO is an add-on service. I love Mike...but I'll wait.

    Springfield build times?!?!

Fixed it for ya. I work in automotive repair. I tell my technicians "don't bother telling me something is backordered...tell me when something ISN'T backordered." Batteries. Thermostats. Belts. Freakin' SPARK PLUGS. If it's manufactured...it's behind schedule. Shutdowns don't just apply to...

    The FP-45 Liberator Pistol

That is very cool. It looks like an old tin-toy version of a gun...but it works.

    Ammo Availability Predictions

Glad I'm not the only one, and that I'm not imagining it. Doc told me last year, "no caffeine, no alcohol", due to an irregular heartbeat (atrial flutter). So...cold turkey, there go my 2 favorite food groups! I try to stick to Propel or Gatorade, but every now and then a fake soda just tastes...

    Springfield’s XDs vs Hellcat

I have both non-OSP XD-s (Mod.1 waffle grip), and a non-OSP Hellcat. Yes, the grips are quite different - fractions of an inch make a huge difference in feel. The XD-s is notably longer (front-to-back) in the grip compared to the Hellcat, which feels more 'square'. They shoot (for me, anyway)...

    Your advice needed - holster

I'll second (third?) the Alien Gear stuff. I have 2 of their IWB units, both bought for my XD-s, but I made a new kydex shell for one base to hold my Hellcat with O-light Baldr-mini attachment. Been wearing them for years, good clips, no breakage, no failures. Nice and durable, and comfortable.

What Does "Brandishing" a Gun Mean?

In Maryland, once we have a "wear and carry" permit, we can carry either concealed or open - so printing or peeking doesn't matter. I believe the law is something along the lines of "displaying in a menacing manner", or some such legal-ese. Basically, this quote above: is pretty much it, if...

The Cost Of Accessories On A New Vehicle Specifically Trucks.

I work for a Chrysler service department for a day job, and I hatehateHATE those automatic side steps. Open the door to check in a vehicle, and then those boards shove my shin away. Good thing they come out slowly! My truck is a 2001 Ram 2500 4x4, Cummins 24v diesel, with a six speed stick...

Why You Should Train With the a Handgun you Carry

I practice nearly exclusively with my EDC's - an XD-s 9mm, and a Hellcat. They shoot nearly identically with the only difference being capacity, and I have to watch out for the mag release on the Hellcat since it'll drop the mag with just a tickle from my support thumb where the XD-s I have to...

    Viridian 5CL ECR Question

I have an R5 laser on my XD-s, with ECR. There is a master-arm button on the R5 where I can turn the whole thing "off", and it won't activate on draw. If the laser is on when I holster, it will turn off in the holster (when the magnet is close), and it will turn on again when I draw (when the...

    Disappointed? Yep!

It is indeed flickering these days, for many reasons. We DO need to get manufacturing back on-line. This "shut it all down" bull:poop: needs to stop ASAP so we can get back to work, and to life. Bag the stimulus checks - we don't need government to do it for us, we just need them to step back...

GM going all Electric by 2035

For widespread electric to work, we need to massively update our infrastructure. How many here have added central a/c to a home without it, and it required a panel upgrade? We need to do that to the whole COUNTRY if they expect electric cars to become the norm. Our houses can't handle it; our...

GM going all Electric by 2035

You still need batteries to store the juice. Batteries are made of nasty stuff you can't just throw away, and it is generally strip-mined to begin with. Because that's green....
