My point was not that the Dutch used the A4 but the initial statement in the article was incorrect. Production of the F104 was almost 500 fewer than the Skyhawks. My other point was that the Skyhawks were actually used in combat while I’m not sure the 104 ever fired a shot in anger.

Douglas A4 production was 2960 aircraft. They were used by multiple countries in numerous wars.
