    Interested in the Hellcat

I do not have a Hellcat but do have a P365. It has been flawless with 1200 rounds of all sorts of ammo. Easy to shoot and very accurate. It replaced my Kahr PM9. I am a Sig fan so I am very confident with it. I bought finger extensions for the 10 round mag. I am most comfortable with the 12...

Mossberg Shockwave Versus Remington Tac 14

I have the 20 gauge and like it. For those who have one I have been told by some the saddle laser is NOT available for the 20 only the 12 and then some say yes it is. The website only lists the 12 as far as I can determine.

Wheelgun Wednesday: The Pros And Cons Of Moon Clips

I had them in my S&W 625 and liked them. I shot IDPA twice and the moon clips were much better than speed loaders for me.

Why The Most Important Part of Being Armed is Being Armed

"You shoot to stop the threat". How you perceive that is up to you and your conscience. That said making comments on a public board like "Dead men can't talk" and "Shoot to kill" is stupid and if you can't figure out why then maybe you should put your gun in a safe.

Why The Most Important Part of Being Armed is Being Armed

For anyone who has shot in competition or watched one and I don't mean on TV where you only see pros you have seen under stress your everyday competitor even miss the 3 yard target. I know it seems incomprehensible that you can draw and miss that "A" zone only 3 yards in front of you but it...

Review: Heckler and Koch SP5 PDW

First let me say I am a huge H&K fan. That said as Hans said PTR does make a clone and they are finally back in stock. How close are they to the real thing? According to PTR all the parts are interchangeable. Since I live near PTR in SC I was able to handle one before they were in stock (not for...

Red Dots on Carry Guns: Dumb Idea?

The Vortex came with the gun. I actually ordered the Aegis without the red dot back in Feb. and still waiting. The local LGS called me and said an Aegis came in with a red dot so I figured to give it a try. Worse case I remove the red dot and replace the high sights with new ones. (I don't like...

    Recoil Reduction System

I posted a request about DPM on another board and this was one reply. Take as you may. How valid I do not know. posted December 12, 2020 11:00 AMDecember 12, 2020 11:00 AM Hide Post DPM is a Greek company, with zero customer service. I don’t think their system does anything for...

Red Dots on Carry Guns: Dumb Idea?

So I just picked up a Kimber Aegis 9mm 1911 with a Vortex Red Dot. I took it to the range and I was not all that pleased. As many have said, not great for close up. Distance was better. I assume it will take time to get used to and get faster and I understand that. After about 100 rounds the...

Review: Rock Island Armory BBR 3.10 Pistol

I know there is a lot of pro and con on them however I am not interested in any 1911 with less than a 4" barrel in .45acp. As an aside if anyone has a Warthog somewhere I have 3 mags (.45), if you want them no charge send me your address and they are yours.

    Taurus G3C 9mm FTF issue

Try ordering some Wolfe Springs. Rob Leatham once told me that JHP's were slightly more accurate than FMJ so that is what I loaded for competition (USPSA using a Kimber 1911). Unfortunately my 1911 was not all that fond of JHP's even using Wilson mags. Not a cost issue I was reloading. After...

Gun Control Is A Myth: The Second Amendment Stands Strong Or Not At All – Part 1

I will comply with the buyback program. I will sell back to the government all the guns I bought from them. After all a buyback means you bought from them right? Also I would expect full value.

Are You Carrying the Right Gun?

It is only a single action. Not really meant for carry. Just messing around.

Are You Carrying the Right Gun?

While not a great carry gun I have a CZ TSO. Large gun, large grip, 20 round mag, 3lbs, 2lb trigger, and I guess since it has a safety you "could" carry it. You could not ask for a much more accurate gun. I also have a Sig Stainless Super Target 1911 with a Nils Target grip. Again difficult to...

    Ammunition shortage winding down soon?

After Sandy Hook that night I was on the computer ordering ammo. It was soon out of stock and the prices escalated. Unfortunately these things have become predictable.

Why You Should Buy in Ammo in Bulk

Interesting article. Exactly where do you find popular ammo in bulk at a reasonable price these days? Target Sports used to have free shipping but they are ALWAYS out of stock. I used to use Natchez but as an example 1000 rd bulk: March-$147 May-$207 July-$327 Aug.-$399 Sep.$459 Nov.$809 When...

Support for tougher gun laws has dropped

I think, I hope, they will back off gun control. There was no "Blue Wave" they actually lost in the house coming close to having no majority. With the 2022 in sight and gun control a loser I think they will stay away worrying about losing the majority. Something that happened last time they...

Gun shops empty and rationing ammo

2 out of 3 of my local gun stores have a decent supply of guns, just not the most popular ones. Popular ammo is the problem. My range will sell ammo to you for range use @ $29 for 9mm. They will NOT let you buy a bunch to take home. The same with the adjacent gun store. They will sell you ammo...

Showdown: Springfield Armory Hellcat vs. Sig Sauer P365

First of all I consider them Micro Compacts. Sub compacts for me are say; H&K P30sk's which are great. I have a P365 and have never seen a reason to try a Hellcat. I do carry it only rarely and when that is on the belt I use the 12 round mag which I find comfortable. I use the NPZ finger grip...
