Sig P226 Legion SAO vs Staccato P (Sept 1, 2023)

I had a Prodigy and currently have a Staccato P. Prodigy was 4.25 and P is 4.4. I really, really liked my Prodigy and put an EGW fire group in it and it really, really shined. Cold hard facts are this, fit and finish of the P is much, much better than the Prodigy. From safety on/off, mag...

New Prodigy 17 Round Mag Issues

Pull the bottom off the 20 and the 17. Make sure the spring is situated correctly in the 17 By comparing to the 20. I had 3 17 round and 3 20 round mags when I had my prodigy.. all fit max capacity. Out of over 5K round count through that pistol, I think I pulled the mags apart and cleaned them...

    Ammo prices

Splitting hairs…. I typically see 50 round boxes from 13.49 to 14.99. Yes, I also know you can search online and get boxes for 13. You can also vary in price for shipping between 20 and 80 bucks. I’ve seen lots of retailers lure you in with a cheap per round price, then jack the shipping way...

    Ammo prices

FYI.. I’ve had good luck purchasing from Sportsman Fufillment, they currently have CCI Blazer 115 and 124 fro 11.49 a box. Their shipping is very reasonable As well…never had an issue with CCI Blazer ammo, I just don‘t think it’s worth the extra 3-4 bucks a box normal price.

    Ammo prices

A few things. Let’s not call Winchester “premium”…lol. Second, re-read my whole post. 17K of ammo in a little less than 2 years. 5-6 bad rounds. No squibs. You all talk about reloading your own, great. What’s the initial start up cost for that equipment? And…time.. you may have time to sit...

    Ammo prices

I know I’m gonna get poo poo’d here, but I’ve purchased 17K rounds in less than 2 years from Ammunition planet, 124gr 9mm reloads. Out of all those rounds, I’ve had 5-6 bad rounds that didn’t go bang, only one round that had a “lip” on the casing which I found before it went into a mag. Their...

    Prodigy value?

Frankly, spot on. Took a little more off for a buddy AND throwing in a new leather Galco OWB holster as well. Probably give him 100 to 200 rounds of ammo as well. Appreciate all the input…. Between him and his wife shooting it at their property… they’ve had their eye on it for some time.

    Prodigy value?

He'll be getting the buddy discount. Just want to get a base point. He's put a lot of those rounds himself...lol

Thanks Salty. Why I didn’t think to look on GB is beyond me… appreciate it.

    Prodigy value?

NOT a classified ad, looking for information from the SA crowd. Admins I couldn’t find in the rules if asking for value was not allowed, only selling of any kind. If this is not allowed, please take down. Looking at possibly selling a Prodigy to a friend. 4.25”. 5K plus round count. Flawless in...

    1911 DS prodigy 4.25” issues/solutions

I‘ve purchased 2 since the Prodigy…but it still shoots too nice/too reliably for me to get rid of it, so says the wife as well :)

    1911 DS prodigy 4.25” issues/solutions

I read right past both of these… Yes, the internet is littered completely with issues with these. Some do as you have, fixed it on your own. Others, as I have, sent it to Springfield and got it back quickly, although lately I’ve read the delays are longer in getting them back. Some, just...

    1911 DS prodigy 4.25” issues/solutions

I took a similar…but different route. Sent mine back into SA for warranty..ran flawless since. But used it as my platform to learn the platform. Tuned it up, replaced the internals with EGW components…. Great pistol.

play stupid games, win stupid prizes

LOL.. If I’m gonna drink beer.. I’m not drinking any of that **** anyways…. Craft/IPA, real beer. I’m a vodka tonic guy now a days…helps with my 2XL Slim frame. LOL Thanks KF for the course correct, goes to show, a quick search is usually wrong… unless you dig in and read the fine print :)...

play stupid games, win stupid prizes

I stand corrected. In the US Modelo is represented by Constellation, outside the US, AB/InBev for distribution. Both are overseen by Groupo Modelo… In the end, and my real point was… regardless of if you boycott bud light and buy Modelo, the money is funneled up to the same source, Groupo...

play stupid games, win stupid prizes

That's incorrect. As of 2013 they own the rights to produce, distribute and market in the US... And elsewhere.

play stupid games, win stupid prizes

Not that I don’t agree with your point, but Modelo and AB brands are all owned by InBev. Along with about 20 plus other brewing companies… Mabye Bud Light should’ve taken notes from Modelo’s marketing team…

Bulls vs. Bushings: Which 1911 System Is Better?

Bull barrel all day long, coupled with a tool less guide rod.. an actual tool less, not a wire or paperclip type.

    Update: prodigy issues

You don’t see the irony there? ”A reliable semi automatic anything”… That was my point. Unsafe is being in the gun fight in the first place. Unsafe is the operator, unreliable is the pistol. Now, if it happens to go off in the holster all on it’s own without pressing the trigger, then I’d...
