3 New Firearms from Springfield Armory for 2021

Just saw this on the youtubes and it just reinforced what I've been thinking. I'd really, REALLY like to pick up the 2020 waypoint. Seems like a no brainer but I'm also patient considering the current situation. That XD with the red dot is very tempting considering the price, but the 2020...

Nice and warm here in N Tx

It was -15 the other morning when I woke up at 4am here in Colorado. I'm a big fan of back up for back up. This is the generator for me. I've got a DIY smaller one to back that up and then some propane as a last resort.

Army guide to winter weather weapons handling

So the high temp here today is -3 F with the wind chill a bit crisper than that. I'm not sure if my bones will hold up but I'd sure like to see how this TRP will run. I'd bet my left nut it'd go without a hitch as long as I mind the points in that nice article KillerFord1977 posted. Good stuff!

Q: Creative alternatives to buying ammo?

Opticsplanet.com has been great. I've been paying about $0.45 a round for .45 ACP winchester 230 gn fmg. They take PREorders. Seems to be shipping about four or five months out now. They are shipping my October order today with my December order planned to ship in May. I plan it, not panic...

The Ammo Shortage - Suarez Article

I got the MantisX last summer because I saw the prices going up and I'm really cheap too! Sure, it's got drills to keep my ADD satiated but the effect of the dry fire has helped my shooting ability TREMENDOUSLY! Dry fire is LIFE these days! Nice drills Talyn, thanks for sharing!

Q: Creative alternatives to buying ammo?

Buongiorno Martino! You can try ammoseek.com or gunbroker.com but primers and most parts are in the same boat as ammo right now. Good luck with that short barrel jackass! I can't do those little ones.

    Should I buy anyway?

I'm a firm believer in "It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it".

One of the DAW's I use is called Reaper. It has the ability with an extension called "NINJAM" to play over the web real-time with no latency issues. It basically puts everyone on a universally timed click track.

Yeah, my buddy and his company did the gear for conventions...saying it's been difficult to adapt doesn't really cover it. I managed to pull a few dicey gigs last year but nothing so far this year. I'm curious how adaptation is going to look moving forward.

My day job and hobby got to meet a couple years ago.

I shot and edited this piece with my buddy a couple years ago. It was really nice to have a day at a private long range facility. Both the client and the talent were fun to work with. Also, they let me take my first .50 shot and what an experience! 600 yards and the time it took to hear the...

AVOIDING HYPOTHERMIA WITH THE DEFENSE MECHANISMS HELION JACKET

Thanks for asking! We've got plenty of cool, clear water here in Colorado. As a daily exercise I take the last 1-5 minutes of my showers on pure cold. In the summer we've got some glaciers melts that are pretty friggin cold. I appreciate the suggestion of Lake Superior and if I'm ever in the...
