Get some Ammo Armor magazine protectors at a discount!

Ammo Armor works well for me; perhaps someone else would also find it helpful. It is understood that Ammo Armor is not for everyone. If you want to pocket carry a spare magazine, it should be just what you need.

    Making Smith & Wesson Revolvers

I agree, money well spent. You didn't have to ship it off anywhere, you handed it to your gunsmith, and for the very low price of $40, you got it done right. Exact same thing happened with my Ruger - local gunsmith fixed the safety for $35 - I didn't have to ship it off. Who knows if Ruger...

    Making Smith & Wesson Revolvers

I appreciate the advice. To tell you the truth, the low price was kindof calling my name. And Taurus does get good reviews. But in a revolver, I want nothing but the best, because I don't want it to go out of timing or some other fatal error. I'm convinced that Ruger makes excellent quality...

    Making Smith & Wesson Revolvers

I would consider buying one if it didn't have the trigger lock. I know they have one or two models without the trigger lock. My dream revolver is the Manurhin MR73. But since I don't have $3000 plus to spend on a revolver, I'll probably get a Ruger SP101 or a Taurus 605 as my next revolver...

Tool Section Vote. - Yeah or Nay?

I think there should be some separation between "advanced" and "beginner", "advanced" referring to what a gunsmith does, and "beginner" referring to what a non-gunsmith does. For example, I would never attempt to diagnose or replace the retention spring on my safety - a gunsmith did that. But...

Tool Section Vote. - Yeah or Nay?

Agreed. This is a good idea. And it can include all manner of "tools", not just gunsmithing tools. For example, cleaning and lubricating products. Perhaps it could be "Tools, supplies, and parts", because in some cases you will want to replace a defective factory part with a good aftermarket...

Remington moving global headquarters to Georgia.

Sometimes when a company relocates, they will buy the houses of the employees, so that the employees can move with the company. I'll bet Remington will do that. They need their experienced staff to move with them. I'll bet most of the staff are glad to have a way out of their blue state.

Woman points a loaded gun at a 7-year old trick-or-treater

I hope she gets a goodly amount of jail time for this. https://www.kristv.com/news/texas-news/texas-woman-accused-of-pointing-loaded-gun-at-7-year-old-trick-or-treater

Should training be mandatory? Answer: No!

Training should be optional; but if you violate some basic safety rule resulting in an injury or death, you should be held responsible. It is your responsibility to know what you are doing if you are going to carry.

    Hospital’s Out Of Control

There is no way I would pay them anything for this. If they refused to remove it from my account, I would sue them for letting me sit there for seven hours with a head injury and not seeing me.

    What's Your EDC, PLEASE VOTE

Ruger EC9S / 9mm. Single stack, slips easily out of my pocket. Light-weight - I hardly know it is there. Simple, no frills. Just a good, inexpensive gun.

    "Right-handed privilege"

If you visit just about any church in the United States, there will be a guitar or two on the platform, owned by the church, which someone can play who doesn't have a guitar with them. To my knowledge, I have NEVER ever seen a left-handed guitar in any church I have visited, except for those...

    "Right-handed privilege"

Agreed 100%. I can shoot pretty well with my left hand, but there's no way I can play a left-handed guitar - I have tried!

    "Right-handed privilege"

I love my Ruger EC9S; but it's not for a left-handed person, because the thumb safety is on the left side. For a time I tried carrying it in my left pocket. This worked pretty well for me, except that I had a hard time turning the safety off when I drew the gun with my left hand. I soon...

12 Best Affordable 1911s (For Your Budget)

Maybe they do better with their 1911s than with their .38 revolvers.

12 Best Affordable 1911s (For Your Budget)

I hear Rock Island Armory makes a lot of 1911s. In fact, the first one on this list is from RIA. But after buying the RIA M200 4" 38 revolver, I wouldn't trust them on any of their other guns. That gun is cheap, and I'm not referring to the price!

    The Irony

I have no animus against Alec Baldwin. My heart goes out to him, because I can't imagine how grief-stricken he must be at this time. I'm glad nothing like this ever happened with me before I learned about gun safety. https://bearingarms.com/tomknighton/2021/10/22/alec-baldwin-n51277 I...
