I agree about the loudness. I was on the tarmac at the FBO Duluth, MN while F4's were taking off (MN Air National Guard circa 1983 +/-?) about 150 yards from where we were standing. Never been that close to something that loud before (gunfire not-withstanding).

The Smith & Wesson .380 EZ is a hammer-gun (internal hammer...not striker). I wonder if any of their smaller 9mm plastic wonders have the internal hammer? Sorry, just too lazy to look, and you already got the FN...
