U.S. gun sales in February surged 23% to 3,442,777.

Didn't someone else post another article today claiming Feb 2021 gun sales were dropping, and was only the 3rd highest Feb so far?

A Look at the New M5 Century Arms AP5

Availability, and markups aside. Why not just go for the real thing and pickup a H&K sp5?

Any thoughts on Walther's new PDP?

The Q5 and Q4SF imo, were targeting the competition shooters market. I don't see the PDP being an attractive option in that market with the 4" barrel. Consequently, I don't see the Q5 and Q4 being an attractive modern service pistol with their comparatively heavy weights. A competitor on the...

Concealed Carry Sweatpants,? There Not Your Ordinary Sweatpants

Not for me, but I would like to see more development in this niche. I used to carry in the gym with a CCW fannypack. I always thought the gym would've been a great place to rob people, as the chances of someone going to their car being armed was low. Not to mention when the media was glorifying...

Good Optics/Grip for Saint Victor .308??

Optics choice should be dictated by how far you plan on shooting your rifle at. Red dot sights like the Vortex Strikefire, are realistically a 100 yard or less option. IMO, a 308 is a 800 yard caliber. I know lots of guys regularly compete 1000 yards with 308, but the ballistics of the round...

Any thoughts on Walther's new PDP?

I'm sure it's a great pistol. But I'm having a hard time figuring out the business case for it at this point in time. Looks like a standard service pistol, so I assume they're targeting LE, and military contracts. Gonna be difficult to compete with Glock in that market, especially with the huge...

Is the FAL really any good?

In terms of pure functionality, I see no reason to choose a FAL over a modern AR10 in 7.62x51/308. But they're still cool if you care about that.

Glock 43: A Top Selling Handgun in 2020

Interesting how top spot was glock19, and 2nd was glock 43. I wonder where the g43x was. Glock 43x with shield arms s15 magazine pretty much renders both the 19 and 43 obsolete.

    Hellcat

When you register you get a link that allows you to buy stuff from springfield store at discount. I've not done it since the HEX Wasp has been released, so I'm not sure if that device is offered on discount. But I would assume so. When I did it, I only bought extra mags. The discounted price...

    Hellcat optics

The RDP will likely cost less than buying a WASP, comp and threaded barrel separately. I wouldn't bother trying to get one if I already had an OSP though. Those modifications look cool in pictures, but IMO are actually detriments on a edc pistol. The WASP is interesting, and I probably...

    M&P EZ9mm

I just put my dad through a CCW class this past weekend. He's got bad arthritis, so he had trouble working the slides on most of my pistols. We were thinking of maybe getting him a revolver, as that's what he carried when he served back in Taiwan. But this happened not too far from where he...

I tried watching the original Predator the other day, and it annoyed the hell out of me everyone just sprayed full auto from the hip all the time.

    Trouble shooting Hellcat

I was the same at first, really thought the factory irons must've been off, as switching to a XD9sc, and my groups were perfect. But just shooting it more, and my groups centered, and tightened themselves.

HELP - Looking For Holster (Hellcat OSP, Laser/Light)

Better than what I could do. But the reason you're having issues reholstering is because on a lightbearing kydex holster, the light itself is supposed to be the retention device, and you want the section behind the light to be free space for the light to pass by. Holster makers do this by taping...

    Hellcat RDP Holster ideas?

It's so new I doubt you'll find an off the shelf solution that isn't universal. I would contact your kydex holster maker of choice, and see what they can do. You might have to ship them the comp and threaded barrel. If you've got a local maker, that makes things easier.

Recommedation on Hellcat Non OSP red dot sight

https://www.leupold.com/shop/red-dots/series/deltapoint-micro Unfortunately there's no hellcat specific model yet. But this seems like the best way to do what you're describing. I'd be worried about the tiny FOV though. Then you've gotta consider, getting your slide milled doesn't actually...

    Laser ready holsters

Most kydex holster makers can custom make something for you, long as you're willing to send them your light/laser. Never hurts to ask them. That being said, there's a downside to light/laser bearing holsters made of kydex most people don't realize. A normal kydex holster uses the trigger guard...
