I am all for gun confiscation-from criminals

You make too much sense. In some politicians (and mass media propagandists) views, all gun owners are guilty until proved innocent. Hence the "need" of permits and registration. BTW, technically all proven criminals should be in jails. If they finished their sentence, are they still "criminals"?

    UN gun registry?

That takes a lot of courage. Most of modern day people won't give up their comfort for that kind of action. Not until they have no more comfort left to lose. I have lived trough that. Communism didn't fell until everyone was actually starving. To the point that a lot of people felt their life...

    UN gun registry?

So the treaty will remain un-ratified until we get that 2/3 of commies in Senate. Then... there is no more 2 A.

Do Second Amendment Sanctuary Laws Really Carry Any Weight?

Oh, but they do say so... Don't look for sanity where it cannot be found.

Do Second Amendment Sanctuary Laws Really Carry Any Weight?

I doubt that any city that deemed itself "sanctuary" for weed or illegals would also decide to be 2A sanctuary.

    UN gun registry?

Is this even a remote possibility? Will Springfield Armory still sell firearms made in Croatia if that insanity actually happen?

    5 Best Micro Compact 9mm Handguns [Review+Video]

Good article! Hmm, maybe I like it because it has two of my own firearms - Hellcat and P365XL.

    Attorney on gun modifications

That's why I have insurance too. US Law Shield. And that's why I have more than one firearm. In case that one be taken in as "evidence". I would not be permitted to buy another one while the investigation is on-going.

    Attorney on gun modifications

Giving advice? Not my intention, I was just commenting, thinking out loud, talking at a beer. I am sure that in this thread anyone will do what they think is best for them and that's that. Heck, afaik a layer might even tell you that the best way to stay out of jail is to get shot, die, and get...

    Attorney on gun modifications

If I could afford to keep buying guns until I find the perfect one I would. For example I like my Hellcat. It would work maybe OK as stock for some. But the groupings that I get with it like that were too wide for me. My trigger feel was gritty and uneven. I like better the P365XL groupings...

    Attorney on gun modifications

By getting a CC permit and a gun, I already took that action to be "more dangerous"... The question that is asked is "what a reasonable and prudent person would do?". My answer would be: "Because I am responsible for every round I shoot, I have trained and have took any measures I could, to...

Do earbuds work in an indoor range?

Same here. I made the mistake once to try to pull out one of the muffs, to see how loud my shot would sound indoors, and OMG, I though I lost that eardrum! And I had shot outdoors AK47 and in military 75mm AA guns without any muffs, I felt that nothing was that loud! I have bought two different...

Do earbuds work in an indoor range?

I would not trust my hearing to those tiny earbuds on an indoor range. The concrete walls reflect and amplifies the shot sound so much! IMO those small ones are meant for outdoor use. Their specs are about: 22 dB NRR with Silicone Tips 29 dB NRR with Foam Tips Of course if you insisting using...

Is the 1911 Dangerous to Carry?

About the "retention factor": Well, IMO that might be interpreted in a different way: The malefactor had the time to reach and grab the gun because the good person didn't have the time lower the safety and shoot. Or even forgot to lower the safety himself, due to the stress. That's why my...

    Another p320 "accidental discharge"

OK, "hair trigger" was an exaggeration, compared to my plastic fantastic. And that was a tricked-out Kimber, not sure if all the 1911 are the same, this might have been like 3-4 lbs.

    Another p320 "accidental discharge"

I agree. Personally I love the looks and feel of the 1911 guns, but when I first pressed the hair trigger on a Kimber (empty, at a LGS) I realized that's not something that I would have time to learn how to use safely. Especially with the weird (for me) way they work in general (thumb safety...

Should I carry a spare magazine

I can't carry both in my pockets. I am not Paul Harrell with his coat that can hide three-four guns and their spare magazines :ROFLMAO:

Should I carry a spare magazine

You mean like a 9mm round that didn't directly hit the spine or brain? There are cases when lethal force is not justified in regard to the threat. Brandishing the weapon can lay in a red-hot legal area. Like a bigger, stronger than me, guy that is in my face yelling threats. I can feel it's...
