Scope Magnification: How Much is too Much

Interesting read. I also recommend a book called Long Range Shooting Handbook by Ryan M. Cleckner. I've learned a lot from it and has improved my marksmanship with scopes.

    HAPPY CINCO-BUY-AMMO DAY!

Oh. Is 3k rnds for one .40 pistol and 4k round for one .308 too much? I feel like I need more.

Carrying a full size handgun? Do you do IWB or OWB?

I mostly carry OWB with my XD mod 2. I don't really like IWB much. I'm a big guy so it's easy for me to conceal OWB. I've been looking into those too. But I don't know if it'll support red dot sights.

Things Never Said By A Gun Enthusiast...

I don't need an AR15 for defense. I pay for armed security guards for that.

Why would you own an AR / MSR ??

I bought my Stag-10 for hunting and fun. Law requires 5+1 rounds to hunt. That semi-auto follow up shot is much faster and efficient. Bolt actions are great for accuracy and range. But they are slowly being phased out while the AR platform is slowly building up a variety of calibers. 308/7.62...

    What’s the XD Mod.2?

I absolutely love my XD Mod2. The only modification I had done is a slide milling for a Vortex Venom. I've put about 10k rounds and still fires like it's brand new. The trigger pull in mine feels like it was finely tuned. My friend who heavily mods his glocks actually likes my XD, and apologized...

FIVE TIPS FOR BETTER RIFLE MARKSMANSHIP

I agree. It's not just skills to determine accuracy. Good parts and healthy maintenance is very important to maintain accuracy. Eventually I will need a new barrel for my AR10. Or a new scope. Whichever begins to fail first.

    Importance of Situational Awareness....

Situation, and surrounding awareness is only half of it. Instincts play a massive role too. I honed my instincts growing up while hunting, hiking, fishing and ect. People have tried to sneak up on me but always fail. I trust my senses and instincts to tell me what's up. This also helps me judge...

Romeo Zero on Hellcat (Zeroing Issues)

Use a bore laser if possible. Check the lense. If it's crooked or any gaps between the frame and lense. It could be a defected sight. I had a similar situation with a Vortex Venom.

    Hellcat Optics ready holsters

I don't like appendix carry. I go with hip or back. I do wanna give shoulder harness a try.

    Hellcat Optics ready holsters

It all depends on size of the pistol and body build. I'm a big guy so it's easier for me to conceal a full size XD.

    Glock 44 issues.....

Either it was cast or higher density steel. Which would crack or shatter from shock and vibrations. Stainless steel is best, for it would just bend or warp instead of breaking.
