I put Hogue grips on my J frame, and you are right —much more difficult to keep hidden. I have considered going back to factory grips but so far just try to make sure the pocket position is as good as can be so the but isn’t exposed. Like the article said,a J frame is just so darn convenient.

Good for you, Flyboy514. A handgun left in the underwear drawer doesn’t help much when you are at Kroger grabbing a gallon of milk. 😊

The Uplula is faster and easier than loading by hand, but when I first opened the thread I though it was going to be about revolver loading. In my usual “fat, dumb and happy” mentality, I have always associated speed loaders with something from HKS or similar that will hold a revolver reload...

Wow Bella! That was a monster! It is indeed good that you had the skid steer and chainsaw with you or on the property somewhere. Cutting and moving that tiny little thing by hand would have taken a while!

I agree with the Maglula Uplula even though it is not a Springfield product. I have had one for a while now and it is a thumb saver! Plus, you can get even a new magazine completely full even if you have a touch (or more) of arthritis in your hands.

I understand perfectly, but when might you find out your last practice session damaged the mag in your gun enough to cause a problem? I know lots of folks and experts encourage it, but until I have a separate (but identical) gun and mags to practice with, I won’t be dropping such a critical...
