    Fix?

I have a 5" and my father has a 4.25", which I have also used at the range several times. He bought his right after shooting mine and the Staccato C2. He was ready to buy a Wilson Combat EDC XC9, but same thing, lighter gun, more felt recoil like the C2. When I got it back, they had: - Reamed...

    Fix?

Not saying a C2 isn't good for what it is, but it is -not- as smooth a shooter as the Prodigy. I've shot both, and there is much more felt recoil on the C2 since it's aluminum and significantly lighter. If you're getting the C2 for carry purposes, then by all means, I'd agree it's a better...

    Springfield Prodigy Slide Release

Two places here: **Disclaimer - I don't know if these are an exact fit and haven't seen them in person but they're both from known parts makers and are listed as Prodigy compatible parts - I just did a quick search** https://www.10-8performance.com/sa-prodigy/...

    Prodigy 5in w/HEX Dragonfly

Springfield has some of the best Customer Service I've ever personally experienced from any company.

A family picture and the making of an SA fanboy :-)

Very nice. I have the same problem. My Prodigy seems to make ammo disappear very quickly, all the time.

Impulse buy - Springfield Armory P9 Compact 9mm

Range report from today: Super flat and accurate shooter. Right back on target instantly. Color me impressed. This thing is a blast to shoot.

Impulse buy - Springfield Armory P9 Compact 9mm

30 days have come and gone. 1989 Springfield P9C 9mm. 3.5" Barrel. Picked it up today and gave it a cleaning and a good lubing, though it was barely dirty. Barely any wear and tear on it and only very minor, small scratches here and there. Wood grip panels look brand new. The Blued Steel is...

First Look: Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy 9mm

Lucky you. I tried my original mags again and they all have issues. I didn't do any kind of sanding or bending or anything to them. Tried new springs but same thing. My Dawson Staccato mags work flawlessly and when I tried my fathers Prodigy 17 and 20rd mags, no issues either. I must just have...

    Question for Prodigy owners

I have several thousand rounds through mine and it's still tight. Runs like a dream.

    Any issues with the Prodigy?

Same issue here. I'm having fun at the range and then suddenly, where did all my bullets go?! Crap, need to buy more again.

Impulse buy - Springfield Armory P9 Compact 9mm

I called Springfield and they said the manufacture date of this P9C was June of 1989. Pretty cool!

Impulse buy - Springfield Armory P9 Compact 9mm

Florida. First time buying a used firearm. If it was sitting in the display case for over 30 days before I bought it, I could have walked home with it that day. (I have a license, 3 day wait with no license) But I just bought it the day after the guy sold it to the GS. Not worried about it...

    Dawson Precision Magwell for Prodigy

Same one that came with the gun. Just had to call up Vortex and have them send me the correct screws. They sent them free of charge.

Impulse buy - Springfield Armory P9 Compact 9mm

Yea, that's exactly what I was told. The GS bought it off someone and there's a 30 day wait period where the Sherriff checks it out to make sure it's clean before they can legally sell it to someone else. I have no reason to believe it's not clean, but peace of mind is not a bad thing at all.

One more pic I forgot I took with the extra mag (not the original box). Better quality. Internals were real clean and looked almost brand new.

Impulse buy - Springfield Armory P9 Compact 9mm

Yep - was told it needs 30 days to get vetted and cleared by the local PD before I can pick it up since it just got brought in to the store yesterday and I bought it today. Thems the rules I guess.

Impulse buy - Springfield Armory P9 Compact 9mm

I went to the range today to try out the Prodigy with the new Dawson Magwell and that went great. Loved it. I browsed the display cases after I was done and in the 'Pre-Owned' section, I see this. A Springfield Armory P9C. I have no clue what year it is, store didn't know either, but the Serial...

    Dawson Precision Magwell for Prodigy

Part of the reason I got it was to protect the polymer. Not a perfect fit but who knows when someone will actually make one for the Prodigy. Actually surprised no one does yet since they all don't come with one.

Might as well post a few pictures for interested parties. I love it.
