Good eyes 👀 ditching the glasses- cataract surgery

Found out this week I'm probably gonna need cataract surgery. Instead of starting a new post, I ran a search and found this thread. So how's everyone doing 18 months from when this thread was new? Anything I need to know, or should ask?

    Shotguns

I only have 20" shotguns. From time to time I shoot a round of skeet or two at my club. Every time I do, the other skeet shooters complain about my gun's noise level. Since 18" and 20" shotguns are about all I've ever shot, the noise seems perfectly normal to me.

What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

Finally found rail covers I'd been looking for for my AR. Got two sets of new electronic earmuffs for about a third of what I was planning to pay for them. And finally found the piercing assembly for my old Crosman Mark I .22 CO2 pistol I'd been trying to score for YEARS. Pretty good day, All...

Democrat introduces bill banning nearly ALL semi-auto firearms in Ohio

Strange but true: She was actually heavily (though unintentionally) involved in getting Barack Hussein Obama elected to the United States Senate.

The NY Attorney General has lost her mind

Every night I go to bed thinking the world in general and the US in particular can't possibly get any weirder. And every morning I get up and I'm proved wrong. Again. Sigh.

Richard Lewis : Rest In Peace. . .

Well, to be honest, he never did. That was pretty much his whole appeal. ;)

Feb. 28, 1993, Waco, Texas ATF raid

It was even worse than that. They'd gotten a huge Black Eye from a 60 Minutes report that aired in December about some serious sexual harassment in their (IIRC) Chicago office.

Feb. 28, 1993, Waco, Texas ATF raid

The G counted on NO ONE speaking up for Koresh and the BDs. The left wouldn't speak up for them because they were "Bible-thumping gun nuts." The right wouldn't speak up for them because they were a "sex-drugs-and rock & roll" "cult." So that made it okay for the US G to commit genocide on...

    Henry big boy revolver

I say it looks like the Love Child of a Charter Arms and a first-gen Ruger Service Six, and then that Love Child got heavily into Goth/Steampunk.

15 things you should never say to a legal gun owner!

My standard response to this is, "Why do you think you NEED to tell ME what MY "needs" are?

    Henry big boy revolver

I've read three or four reviews of it now and have the following thoughts. 1. Way too big/heavy for concealed carry (Smith L/Ruger GP100/Colt Python-size cylinder). 2. Way too pricey for a fixed-sight revolver. 3. Changeable front sight is a good idea, but it's WAY too thin at .06". The...

    PSA's Unique Replica XM177E2 Vietnam-Era Commando Rifle

Back in the mid-'80s, a friend and I went to a "warehouse sale" at Collectors' Armory in Virginia. By the time we got there, a lot of the good stuff was gone, but there was a barrel of seconds, damaged good, returns, incompletes, etc. at bargain-basement prices. I spotted an XM177 (Japanese-made...

Junkers Ju 87 Stuka Dive Bomber — Nazi Terror Weapon

Back in the '70s, I succumbed to temptation and bought a Cox P-51D that had a third "control line" that controlled a simple throttle on the engine. It remains unflown to this day, and should still be new in its box, unless The Lovely Mrs. Snake threw it away while I was in the hospital with my...
