Those came out about a year after I outgrew toy guns. But you're right, they were pretty cool. I chased the 1911 from that set for years on eBay before I found one I could afford. Definitely the most realistic toy 1911 of its day.

Never had any of that "Agent Zero" stuff, but I DID have a buttload of cool toy guns. Quite a few were made by Marx. I still collect cool old toy guns, mainly realistic full-size ones.

Just for your nostalgia, here's my 69A before and after. When I bought it a small, out-of-the-way LGS around 2005, it had a crummy old vintage 3/4" scope on it. I replaced that with a 2x-7x AO scope, and then replaced the invisible old front sight with a nice classy ramp.

I'd suggest adding a small spray can of some sort of all-purpose cleaner/lubricant--WD-40 or your favorite substitute. It's amazing how often a quick shot of something of this nature can get a balky gun running again--at least until you can properly diagnose and FIX the problem. Also wouldn't...
