This is an update. So far the battery is now over a month in use after getting a replacement wasp. Let's hope it continues to work. I will keep everyone posted.

Its the wasp .sunday I received a replacement, so far so good. I did notice the part where the battery goes are gold/or brass looking coneters and not the silver one that I had previously. Hopefully they figured the problem. I will keep you posted after the 30 days.

Hello springfield family. We know some carriers are bad by now. Can we possibly stick to battery drainage issues with the wasp. I think we are getting off track a bit..lol

Yea, thats one of my reasons for going red dot. My eyes are not what was. I'm 63 so started shooting red dot. Getting good at it. Picking up my target quikly. Takes practice.

The new wasp i received, replaced by the battery issues, seems different inside where the battey goes. It use to be silver contacts now it seems like a gold color type of contact. Maybe they figured it works better with the different contact. I will keep you all if after 30 days still working.

Yes they will replace it. Make sure you register it or have the receipt.

China makes the wasp to springfield specs. Not china specs. All china does is produce it to springfield specs. Labor is cheaper in china and china makes great optics. But its springfield specs they are going by. Maybe they should let china fix the specs.

When you take off the wasp its on the side of the wasp. One side say made in China and on the other side has the serial number. China makes the wasp to springfield specs. Not china specs. All china does is make it.

Contact springfield they will get you a new one. Call them. Its fastest way to get it resolved. They will send you a fed 3xp. Return lable cia email. Print it out and when you drop off your wasp. Make sure you get a receipt for the drop off. It's obvious its rhe wasp. We don't need to be...

Its fine to witness if thats what some like. I agree i want to rely only on my target with the red dot. But in case the red dot fails i can still see my front sight. Its just the battery issue. Well not battery. Its the wasp unit. I was changing batteries out every month. That's nuts. Anyway...
