I'm surprised this is even debatable.

    Dead trigger in Hellcat Pro

I agree with 500 rounds before I will trust it.

    Dead trigger in Hellcat Pro

Thanks! Based on posts here and elsewhere, it seems to be a crap shoot as to the quality of the Hellcat Pro triggers. I'm not a trigger snob, EDC is a stock Glock 19. 0I suspect it is a spring issue, either broken or detached. I'm reluctant to tear into it. Will see what the shop has to...

    Dead trigger in Hellcat Pro

The pistol had a very heavy, rough, and creepy trigger out of the box. Put about 100 rounds down range and decided to have a Powder River Precision trigger kit installed by my LGS. Some improvement and things smoothed out considerably after another 200 live rounds and lots of dry fire. Dry...

Trigger replacement options for the Hellcat?

Apparently there is variation between individual Hellcats as some people get a good stock trigger. I forgot about my Walther PPK. It isn't great in DA.

Trigger replacement options for the Hellcat?

I have a Hellcat Pro. Worst trigger out of the box of any gun I've ever owned. Paid to have a Powder River Precision kit installed. $220 later trigger was somewhat better but still creepy and rough. It's smoothing up with dry fire and rounds down range. I have an Apex kit in a Glock 19 that...

    Lightning Link?

Junior high school, 1957. Small town in eastern Colorado. Science teacher had several .22 rifles in a locked cabinet in the classroom. With a note from your parents, you could check one out for the weekend. He sold .22 Standard Velocity cartridges, box of 50 for fifty cents. Just couldn't take...

    Daffy Zone…..

I hate it when I discover no toilet paper at the wrong time and I have to do that waddle to find some. But it's okay, I'm halfway to Walmart.

    Be ready (The Sheriff)

Good advice. I'm amazed by the lack of situational awareness seen every day. Heads buried in phones, paying no attention to what's happening around them. Active Self Protection videos discuss the "normalcy bias" where the tendency is to assume that the three guys wearing hoodies and masks at...

Keeping a firearm in a vehicle

I have a truck gun that matches my EDC. When I leave the vehicle for the post office or volunteer work, it goes in a safe under the seat. Never left overnight even in my locked garage.

Thieves shoot at homeowner. Homeowner gets charged.

Not a good look for the homeowner. Stupid comments. No plan. Another reason to talk to LE only in the presence of your attorney. Fleeing felons can still constitute a deadly threat. Shooting back over shoulders or turning to fire again.

    1911

As others have noted, it would be helpful to know the OP's budget and intended use. I have several 1911s including a couple of Commanders in .38 Super. I like my Kimber LW .45 stainless 5 inch as it has been absolutely reliable with all ammunition from day one.

    Front hellcat sight messed up

Yeah, that would bother me every time I took a shot. Get it fixed. How's the trigger? I am disappointed in my Hellcat Pro trigger. Long, rough, and creepy.

    THE EDC KNIFE

In the buffalo hunting and Indian trading years, those Green River or imported Sheffield knives were shipped to frontier trading posts in kegs. Apparently they served the purpose before anyone knew of the modern steels we demand today.

A real pistolero of the Old West

I have a couple of theories about the butt forward carry. Just my opinion, neither may be correct. For right-handed mounted cavalry troopers, butt forward left the right hand free to wield a saber. For right-handed cowboys, butt forward on the left side reduced the possibility of fouling the...

Is the SA-35 Suited for Modern CCW? An Undercover Cop’s Perspective

My SA-35 has a trigger at about 2.5-3 pounds. Too light for EDC.
