    Dog Attack

We went dogless for 10 months and adopted a small dog for a change thinking it would be easier to pick up at our age. Big dogs require early training and socialization which I would guess is the reason the shelters are full of them. Some people shouldn't have pets just like some people...

    Dog Attack

The wife walks daily with our small dog and has had instances with loose dogs. It would be great if dog owners were responsible, but you can't fix stupid.

    Dog Attack

Two pit bulls killed a woman in town. Both were put down and the owners are spending 6 months each in jail consecutively. The reason why consecutively is that they have children at home. Some people say pits are great dogs. Others say until they're not. Having them around kids is like rolling dice.

We Can’t Stop Crime, So We’ll Go After Glock: New Jersey, Minnesota AGs Sue Manufacturer

We don't target crime, but release (or not prosecute) criminals, flood the country with illegals and work tirelessly on anti-gun legislation. What could go wrong? Oh, one party went to far and lost the election because the people are fed up.

    Daffy Zone…..

The typical distraction terms are birdie or kitty. There are very few squirrels in AZ and I've not said it to her ever.

    Daffy Zone…..

Our dog wouldn't release the ball so I could throw it. After doing the tug of war thing for a few minutes, I finally said, "Look, squirrel!" She dropped it and ran to the patio door to look out.

    Online shipping

I don't know about you guys, but when I get a notification about an item being shipped, I get po'd when I check in 3 days later saying they created a label. Don't tell me it's shipped when clearly, you haven't. Time for my blood pressure meds.

    Springfield Armory XDS slide swap?

I don't know about the machining, but if you're thinking about another slide, I'd sell the gun and buy what you want. My 2 cents.

Age is but a number ..

My dad started building a house when he was 72. I'm soon to be 71 and my body is falling apart. I think my steel work in my 20's and 30's played a big part in things going downhill in later life.

    Gun Sale

I was hot for a Beretta 34BB, but let that idea simmer. Today, not so much. I was actually thinking about a new '73 for the wife. I found a nice one for $1300 and then you have taxes and transfer fees. The Italians release their guns once a year and I found many examples from $1500 and up. Some...

Is a Custom Pistol a Waste of Money?

For me, I have stock cowboy guns modified to work better. Slick actions, some with go fast parts to offset how they come from the factory. I won an engraving job once for a $20 raffle ticket, one mod that didn't involve speed/reliability. The one thing about that is that you need 4 firearms for...

Is a Custom Pistol a Waste of Money?

It isn't like contributing to the loser's presidential campaign, you're gonna end up with something of value. The million dollar question is whether the extra cost is worth it to you or not. Will you appreciate the trigger, sights, or other feature(s) above what a more base model provides.

    RXM: Ruger/Magpul Collaboration Pistol

I'm not interested, but it is something that a surprise release has them in a bunch of places at the same time with $100 off MSRP. I recall the release of the SA 35. I never saw one for over a year. When the Shield first came out, the supply chain was cranking.

What are you doing right now??

I just checked email and saw that both my shot and primer orders shipped. I was getting irritated the primer order was over a week old and wondered wtf was going on.

What are you doing right now??

The wife asked if I wanted anything for Christmas and I quickly replied in the negative. Then at dinner last night, I saw a post about surplus Beretta 34 BB's for sale for $299. Now I'm trying to decide whether to ask for one or not. If I saw this in a gun store, my mind would nimbly act. That...

How many of you parked in a spot, then had to move so you could find a speaker that worked?

What are you doing right now??

OM, her check isn't just a COL, it's based on her years of work and that makes it much more useful. The load has been on me since 2019, so yes, I welcome it.
