Type of holster you use for EDC

Naw I’m in WI at the moment but I try to support the small mom & pop type businesses if they have decent products. As for Detroit, we know they know guns, lol, so I decided to give them a try. My situation is kinda unique in that I’m a female instructor who loves heavy guns. My guns can also be...

Type of holster you use for EDC

The metro is cool. My fave is probably the 8 mile with the claw. Every gun I’ve tried has pretty much disappeared with that holster. The only thing that could be better are the belt clips... so I change mine out

Type of holster you use for EDC

That’s true. And sometimes the holster you think you’ll love turns out to not fit quite right. It’s a weird thing. “Sometimes you just gotta wait for the one you want.“ That’s so sweet. It could be an 80s power ballad lyric. Lol.

Type of holster you use for EDC

Yup they are interesting. I’m gonna try to convince Detroit H to make me one. I might have to send them a blue gun as model though.

Thanks for the info on TLR... I’ve got that same model on my shotgun and the battery door is always a PITA. The light lives on the Expert full time and has survived a few thousand rounds so far. I probably should order some of the doors as extras.

https://www.heckler-koch.com/en/products/sport/sport/usp-expert/usp-expert/overview.html I’ve basically got 2 different size slings connected to each other through its grip. and I put a TLR-2 green laser / flashlight on it... just to make it even bigger.

Of course. But I don’t think concealing the Expert is a good goal, lol. It’s pretty huge. The sling definitely makes it accessible though. It will do for now. Until I find a decent OWB holster for it.

Type of holster you use for EDC

Yup. If I could only find a holster for my USP Expert. Right now I have it attached to a Macguyvered sling... it works but it ain’t pretty.

Type of holster you use for EDC

After spending WAY too much money on holsters, I’ve found that I prefer 100% Kydex over leather (or a combo of Kydex and leather). In the past, I’ve tried Crossbreed, belly bands, bra holsters, Comptac, Alien Gear, Vedder, etc. Nowadays, I mostly use AIWB holsters since I don’t like to reach...

Cheapest Shotgun You Own But It's A Keeper?

A 870... i was so new to guns at the time that I painted a stripe down the top because it helped me line up the bead, lol. I paid $113 for that shotgun and $9 for the glow in the dark paint.

Does The AR-15 Need A Forward Assist?

I have a Radian too. It’s the slim version with the short handles/‘wings’ but the wing still comes out to the same distance as the forward assist. I think all other Radians are bigger than the one I have but my AR is slim and wide handles look kind of out of place.

Does The AR-15 Need A Forward Assist?

I would like my forward assist to be shorter because the size of my charging handle kinda competes with it. Do I need it? In that low probability situation where I actually need it, yeah. But I want a shorter one.

Philadelphia Sheriff's Office Loses 210 Guns

Wow. Hopefully they don’t let that police department investigate themselves in this case: ‘we investigated ourselves and found that we didn’t do anything intentionally unlawful. The investigation is forever closed and shall not be reopened’. Somebody needs to either find the guns or pay the...

    A Clueless New Gun Owner

I wondered that too. Who knows. He could have been trying to break that one down because of a double feed or something. Or worse... he might have been trying to train her how to strip firearms.

    Best Ammo to use for....

That right there is the truth. In general, my answer is... it depends. Depends on the purpose (home defense? Plinking only?) and what’s available. I shoot 55 gr in my Saint. But I’d also shoot 62 gr if I found some and saw that POI was nearly identical.

    A Clueless New Gun Owner

The whole thing makes me nervous. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that the 2A community has grown BUT it can’t be all good that panic is what caused the influx. Some new gun owners have no plans to get trained, some are planning to shoot FMJ in defensive guns, others have no intention of getting...

Ammo should be easier to buy around black friday...

There’s a local store here that has been getting 9 mm (HP and FMJ),. 40 (HP and FMJ), .45 (FMJ), 12 gauge and 5.56 (FMJ) in sporadically about a month ago but there’s limits and it’s always hit or miss as to what they will have on a given day. They stopped taking online and phone orders so it’s...
