Thanks... yeah I saw that the SA was M16 so I bought a M16 bolt as a spare. But that new bolt, with tons of lube on it, was struggling to fit that SA carrier. I’m on the waitlist for a bcg to go with the new bolt but I was hoping the new bolt would slide right into the SA carrier.

So this is a stoopid question but I can’t find answer anywhere.... Does Springfield sell bolts and bcgs as Saint replacement parts? If not, can I just buy any ole M16 bolt and stick it in my Springfield bolt carrier? I may or may not have bought a M16 bolt and may or may not have been able to...

Hard to do when you’ve got boobs. At least that’s been my experience with this technique. It is better than only relying on slingshot from a locked back pistol. Carry on.

I would get me another barrel that works and not worry about the serial numbers matching... I would rather do that than change up my ccw ammo. It takes so little for a gun to hate a certain ammo. Bullet shape, length, ramp design, etc. If one thing is off, it could mess up everything. I swear...

If you ordered directly from SA after June, I think a good estimate is 4 months after order placed.... at least that’s what happened with my order and one of my buddy’s orders. So if you ordered in July, it will probably trickle in next month.

That’s messed up. I sold some ammo there earlier this year but I won’t be using them any more after this change.

Sweet! I wonder which design works better for the bolt waist. The Cat is double the price but allows for wiping out the bolt carrier.

You might try a bolt scraper. I know RealAvid makes a good one. Its a curved scraper. Otis also makes something similar but I think it’s more expensive.

I haven’t had good luck with that chamber brush bristle thingy. I just use Otis tools and swabs. But for some reason, I’ve had WAY more problems with carbon cooking onto the bolt waist than carbon in the chamber.
