I wonder in this day and age that communication is so lacking between the gear and the guns. It's hard to believe that with guns shows and such that this isn't addressed. Very frustrating for the gun owner.

I’m new to pistol optics, have a venom on a S&W shield and really like that I can still shoot with tired eyes. New hellcat will be equipped as well, as soon as I get a handle on what to use. Does Holosun show promise as a reliable optic for the hellcat.

Hellcat manual states that mounting screws cannot exceed .095 in below the optic base, or 2.4 mm, 2 would probably be safe. Measuring as stated in previous answer best bet.

I just purchased a Hellcat OSP and looking for an optic that will co witness. I own a shield with vortex venom mounted on rear sight slot. Love it but does sit high, and so the Hellcat. Shield prices are out sight. looking for info.
