    North American Arms Plug

I play/shoot with mine a lot, then I can shoot off the back porch. Front one to come to think about it. 7-10 yards I can keep all 5 on a paper plate as fast as I can rooster the hammer. Nice to know if I'm ever assaulted by a paper plate. ;) Some would argue that the potato grips defeat the...

    Parking lots?

No. Nor do I have to sit with my back to the wall, see the door, have all exits mapped out in my mind, etc. etc. etc. 25 years as a prison guard my situational awareness is pretty much on high without thinking about it. If something seems wrong, we don't stop. Nothing we need that much. The...

March 30, 1981, President Ronald Reagan is shot

I object to the "drifter" part. If he was a "drifter" it was by choice. John Hinkley Sr. was the founder, and president of the Vanderbilt Energy Corporation. Jr. got off on an insanity defense because of daddies $$$. Spending 40+ years in a hospital instead of life in prison. Don't...

Your very first loan...What was it for?

Much the same, 68 Mustang, high interest, just outside the gate, young service man, except mine run like a raped ape until it did cartwheels, rollovers, and sliding on the roof.

    Full length guiderods

If it works, DON'T fix it. JMHO. I remember when full length guide rods were all the rage. If I think back that far correctly, they were sold as more reliable. Can't say as I remember any difference one way or the other.

The high end is supposed to be in the front.

    Trapdoor carbine

No expert but I'm fairly sure you'll find the rear sight is NOT on backwards. ;) Sweet gun. Love my 1888 Trapdoor, just don't shoot it much. All I will use is Black powder and cast lead. I'm just getting too lazy cast bullets or clean it like it deserves.

Has the current world climate changed your daily routine?

    THIS! (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) It's called life. Ya can't fix it and ya can't get out of it alive.

    Robert Mueller Passed

Okay I'm a hard-hearted SOB. I feel for the family like I feel for the Rosenbergs and Ames. The stunts he pulled long before DJT should have had him thrown out of office.

    Open Carry?

Max and supper max for twenty-five years. I stick by my statement. As it was pointed out to me just before I retired, when discussing what I could say to and I/m that would get some of the younger/newer guards punch in the nose, "You grew old with some of these guys".

    Open Carry?

    (y) (y) (y) (y) Wear a photographer's vest around here you'll draw attention. "What to hell is there around here to take pictures of?" Fly fishing vets, "hay buddy if you want them you can dig up some worms around the manure pile behind my barn" and really catch fish". Wear work boots, oil...

    Open Carry?

Inmates lie! About everything, make crap up out of whole cloth to make themselves more interesting. More bullets, more blood, greater score, etc. etc. etc. And of course, they knew everything (except how not to get caught). Every one of them thinks they are Professor James Moriarty...

    Open Carry?

Can anyone show a documented case where that has happened? Not a challenge to what you say honest curiosity. Open carry when hunting, loafing about the woods, plowing the driveway, fishing, etc. Otherwise no, if for no other reason so I don't have to see the pulling of hair, throwing ashes...

    45/70 loads and why

405 cast lead with grease cookie and 65 grains of FFG. Then I'm shooting an 1883 trapdoor carbine and would just as soon not like to blow her up.
