"Is it (the Staccato) worth the money?"

I am really intrigued in the new Kimber 2K11. For it's price, it might be a good deal. More than the Prodigy, less than the Staccato. And available in 9MM or 45.

Can You Make a Sub-1-Second Shot?

I haven't' done that but I do participate in a monthly practical pistol. It's usually only around 20 rounds. I usually will shoot twice each night (first time counts for the season, all reshoots are just for fun). It definitely makes a difference and is much better training then just static...

Can You Make a Sub-1-Second Shot?

I go back and forth that. I agree with you to a degree. Bullseye shooting is not realistic for self-defense. But if you aren't having a tight group in a controlled environment; flat range, reasonable distance, no distractions, no stress, no one shooting at you, etc.... you're probably not...

Range Antics So Shocking That I Don't Have The Words!

Kinda like how we used Australia as a penal colony? It all makes sense now

Range Antics So Shocking That I Don't Have The Words!

Yes, normal range days, open 8AM to 10PM 7 days a week, including holidays, don't have a range master. At all, period. Once a month, for tow hours, when they do the practical pistol shoot, they have someone running that.

Took my brother-in-law to the range

Yesterday I had the privilege of taking my brother-in-law to the range for his first time ever shooting handguns. He is a Canadian and a missionary in West Africa. He, my sister-in-law (my wife's sister - as American as can be) and the kids are here until after Christmas. Recently my...

Range Antics So Shocking That I Don't Have The Words!

the place I shoot doesn't have an RO at all. Like, never, well, except for the monthly practical pistol shoot. But regular range hours, nope. It is a member's only club, but no RO

Can You Make a Sub-1-Second Shot?

We tried it once during practice for quals of something. For my agency, we have to be "covered", which for me means I just run an unzipped vest, so you just sweep it off the side before you draw. Of course, we use a retention holster, but it's the Safariland with the little thumb button which...

    Ryobi or Milwaukee

Ryobi fan here. My favorite color is Ryobi green. Have some old blue drills that still work, and have never had an issue with any of the newer stuff. I only have 18 volt stuff currently. I have the small chain saw, that thing is amazing. Punches way above it's weight class. And with the deals...

Duty Pistol Round Up: Walther PDP vs Springfield Echelon vs Glock 45

I don't find Glocks to be particularly "accurate" but they are definitely reliable

    snowpocalypse on lake erie?

I'll take this snow vs. hurricanes in the south, tornadoes in the Midwest or the extreme hat in the southwest. We did get my car out and move it to a spot on the road my daughter's car had been in, and got her car in the driveway with ours. Took my wife and I 1 hour and I had to go around...

    snowpocalypse on lake erie?

live in Erie, right in the center of it. Yes, we get a lot of snow every year. Between us, Buffalo and Syracuse, it's terrible. Some people always forget how to drive every year. Some are new drivers; this is their first real snow. Some don't have snow tires or haven't put them on yet. A lot of...

no nope for Pro 2A people if this happens

unfortunately, yes, we do. People just love big government and want it to solve all of their problems instead of realizing it is the problem

no nope for Pro 2A people if this happens

I have been saying that for years. I would definitely consider it more of a revolution than a civil war

I'm the opposite, I can't stand McDonald's coffee. Maybe because Tims is the closest to where I've worked for the last 15 years?

Tim Horton's coffee is one of the very few good things Canada has given us
