    165 Grain 40 S&W Is It Dead?

And in option #1, the 3rd party collects the information, e.i., clicks and purchases, and pays AmmoSeek. The app collects the information not AmmoSeek. The next point is that it would be foolish for a company to sign up for commission based pay, where they STILL have to reach the $179 or $99...

    165 Grain 40 S&W Is It Dead?

What does your experience have to do with the price of tea in China or how AmmoSeek does business? They explicitly state how they operate, but you seem to "know" otherwise. AmmoSeek makes their money from charging vendors to advertise their ammo on their website. AmmoSeek does not get a...

    165 Grain 40 S&W Is It Dead?

Are you? I "know" what AmmoSeek's policies are and how they operate because they, on more than one page on their website, explicitly state how they operate. They state the TOS for vendors to be able to have their products posted on their (AmmoSeek's), search engine. What they themselves state is...

    165 Grain 40 S&W Is It Dead?

Huh? We aren't talking in general. We're talking about AmmoSeek, and they do not get anything a piece of anything when someone purchases ammo. They only get paid and profit basically based venders paying a subscription fee. The amount of the fee vendors have to pay is contingent on the volume of...

    165 Grain 40 S&W Is It Dead?

A click only shows interest and isn't a purchase. One person can click dozens to hundreds of, for example, .40 S&W listings. No matter how you look at it based on what we know, there's just no way AmmoSeek could have any reliable data outside of what links are being clicked. Heck, I've seen...

    165 Grain 40 S&W Is It Dead?

No, vendors pay AmmoSeek a monthly fee to have their ammo listed. The amount that a vendor pays to AmmoSeek monthly is contingent on how many clicks that vendors receives. AmmoSeek knows nothing about what's purchased or not purchased. There are other options for vendors, buy I don't see any...

    165 Grain 40 S&W Is It Dead?

AmmoSeek is a search engine. You search, click a link to a product you're interested in, and it directs you off-site to a vendor's website. There's absolutely no way Ammoseek could know who's actually buying what. All they know is what searches are done and what off-site links for particular...

i want to build an echelon.

Why isn't it a liability issue with almost all other firearm manufacturers, small and large? I'm not sure about it being a liability issue, but I am sure it's a terrible business decision. Part of the reason why the Beretta 92, CZ 75 variants, Glocks, 1911s, AR15s, SIG P365/P320, AR15s, S&W...

Ditto I bet they won't either.

Adding a revolver to the mix

Different times, metallurgy, and designs. Today, there are loads that Rugers can handle that ammo manufacturers and reloading publications explicitly state are exclusively for certain Ruger revolvers. The design differences of S&W vs Ruger matters more to which is stronger and more durable...

Adding a revolver to the mix

Ruger revolver strength over S&W comes in the fact that they don't have side plates and the the yoke held in by a screw. In 357, it's a moot point and stupid debate, IMHO. The S&W L- and N-frames and the Ruger GP100s and RedHawks are stronger than they ever need to be to handle a study diet of...

Adding a revolver to the mix

Forged is generally stronger than cast. There's no getting around it. Cast can be just as strong as forged, but it won't have similar dimensions.

Adding a revolver to the mix

Seems Taurus must be making a concerted effort to send all their lemons just to your one gun shop. Bad news travels fast and far more so than good news. There are also a demographic of Taurus haters who would jump at the chance to repeat any up to date second hand bad news about Taurus and...

Adding a revolver to the mix

I only own 2 Taurus revolvers, and they've been more reliable and had better tolerance than my experiences with modern S&W. I've owned several Taurus handguns in the last decade that mostly have been sold off, but none have given me any issues.

Adding a revolver to the mix

FYI, I just found that that there's an ongoing $30 rebate on Taurus revolvers. It's not much, but it may bring the retail price in the upper $400s for some 692 models.

Adding a revolver to the mix

No, but they're tempting for the price. If I didn't already own two S&W 686+ revolvers that I purchased years ago, I'd own the Taurus already.

Adding a revolver to the mix

I haven't read the entire thread yet, but you made a great choice. I tend to lean towards Kimber, Ruger, and Taurus revolvers if new. Older S&W revolvers above all except for no lock K-frames. The GP100 is built like a tank, and if it ever breaks for the lifetime that you own it, Ruger will take...

Adding a revolver to the mix

People who are staying stay away from Taurus are stuck in the past, aren't credible, and/or have a bias. Taurus is currently better and more reliable than current S&W revolvers. Taurus has better QC. Period. They either aren't being objective or they just aren't that educated on the CURRENT...

    40 caliber Prodigy

Overdramatic much? There aren't that many semiauto handgun calibers that are still in statistically significant production numbers. Not everyone is happy or just wants to shoot 22lr, 380 ACP, 9mm, 45 ACP, and 10mm. There would STILL be shortages during panic buying. People would buy up more of...
