I would expect the tolerances to be tight, but it literally leaves a mark on the cutout when I try to install. Removing some material wouldn't be a big deal, but the thread pitch concerns me. I don't want to strip it out and be left holding the bag.

I received my optic plate today, 14b, and doesn't fit on the gun. The factory plate mounts as one would expect. But, no dice on the new one. The screws that came with the plate don't thread into it either. Clearly a different pitch. I would be willing to accept I'm doing it wrong, but 20 years...
