I have been "feeling" this for a long time now. Everything we do (in my home) takes into consideration that "what if" scenario. I thought for a while that it was just me, but the husband came home last night and this topic actually came up. It is truly sad, IMHO, that we are thinking this way...

I remember that too. I remember wondering how the little desk over my head was going to protect me from a bomb. Children do wonder things like that...

These birds have a special place in my heart. Turned many of them around back in the day when they ventured up north.

I tell my southern friends (and family members) that there are very valid reasons why I live where the air hurts my face. Gators, big snakes, hurricanes, you get my meaning… I will take the bears and timberwolves anytime. 😎

Great report as always, Cliff. I think you did fine…we are all our own hardest critics. I’m getting to the point now where I can tell what I did wrong the second that trigger is fully pressed. And I too have a tendency to rush. Keep up the good work my friend. 😊

All of our pot holes are filled in and iced over. Come the thaw and it’ll look like a goat path.

Well, I made it to (my) Friday. It's been a week. Finishing off my first cup and mustering the energy to get moving.. 😎

We had just repatriated to Canada from (West) Germany. I saw it on the tv at the Junior Ranks Mess in Winnipeg. Horrible. 😢

I was bleary eyed when I tried to read the ticket. I didn’t recognize their abbreviations but I got the part about it being a 12 gauge. I’ll post more when I find out. I guess Scheels has to reach out as they are the ones providing the prizes.

Just finished my first break. Been up since 3AM but I didn’t get a chance to check in here cuz I got a fb message telling me I won a gun in a raffle I entered at a gun show last September. I was so excited!!! I never win guns!

We have that problem in MN. Once the twin cities votes (and they are bluer than blue, as everyone in the country has seen first hand) it’s basically over for the state. 🤬

I had to get a permit to purchase in order to purchase a gun in 2015. Basically a background check and a form signed by the chief of police in my town, renewable annually. Got my CCW in 2023, takes the place of the permit to purchase, renewable every five years. And they run a background...

We do ice fishing up here. You have a little shack (or if you’re a little wealthier, one of those fancy schmancy ice fishing RV things). Some of the best fish come out of the bottom of the lakes up here in the winter.
