Sorry Bassbob. I getcha. They just didn't state it the way you did. It was just "always on". My thinking is that I have 9 pistols, and some are full size and 1 (or more) would be my home gun at night. So, what's the sense in leaving my little Glock 33 on always, but I guess I DO have the option...

What I meant was just that. There USED to be optics that were 100% off if you set the "on/off" switch to off. I was hoping for that option. Guess I'm looking for something that doesn't exist any longer. I didn't want a "sleep" mode. I wanted to be in control of sleep mode...or not. Thank you.

I am considering a Hellcat Micro with a red dot sight. Question is this ... I have seen/heard that ONLY fulltime on optics are made for this tiny little gem of a pistol. I am interested in a switchable model. Does such an animal exist??? Thanks all for your help. BB
